That Tone Sequence has been out there for over 60 years, I think it's a Station ID/Locator.

@@Stovepipe274 Hi SP, thank you, you obviously more experienced than myself at recognising these transmissions. I usually take a rough guess at what I'm picking up, especially stuff like this, many thanks mate 💯👍

What kind of hardware is that you are using? Very interested in the hobby myself

@@Speckled_trout91 Hi BB, I'm using a old Yaesu FT-990 in line with a silver rod vertical antenna. The 990 is a good looking bit of kit and the filters are OK. But sadly this radio is beginning to show it's age. I also have a Yaesu FT-897 D mobile rig. This I tend to use more for going out and about in the car. And to higher locations to my home location. It is my favourite radio by far, however I plan to get a new base radio towards the end of this year 👍💯📻

Sounds like some type of RTTY, not sure what your hearing??
@reyalPRON3 ай бұрын
pretty sure that is a harmonic delay due to your range from the two sources broadcasting at the same time. ehh. i should read others comments before posting. :) cheers. most effective modern frequency jammers sweep much much faster and in a digital sounding pattern to cause more noise. this could be used for range finding with the right equipment.
@calummcconnell73133 ай бұрын
It could be related to image stations shenanigans. To me it sounds like what you get if two sounds of slightly different frequencies are playing at the same time. It could be a harmonic from two stations trying to output the same signal but which have drifted apart slightly in frequency

Have this also sometimes on lpd channels in the Netherlands, can't really tell if there is a pattern in time of day etc.

That is a sode frequency of a telemetry beacon that works somewhere at 400-430mhz. Some agriculture machinery can produce this to repirt pisitioning

Hi Pedro, sorry for the delay in replying to you, I've been very busy this end. In answer to your question Pedro. I believe it means 'Decode' 'Interface' 'Call' DIC if I find out any different I will get back to you.

Hello. Very nice radio. Can you please let me know what UTC time was the reception as I am having trouble receiving them in Connecticut USA. Also I like your speaker. What is the make and model number of it? Thank you.

Tom, sorry for the delay in replying to you. I've been busy at work this end. To answer your question\, if you still require the answer is that, in your part of the world you are 5 hours behind the United Kingdom. I received this transmission about 1 A/M here, which would be 20:00 state side.

I was mobile once and had a similar experience, turned out to be an electric fence pulse.
@ukamateurradiostation68338 ай бұрын
Hi Andrew thanks for your feedback I can rule out the fence part. I believe it could be something to do with the navy. I have them almost on my doorstep, but then why would they choose that frequency?
