Dear Robert, We are sorry for the loss of your pet, Truman. I appreciate you reaching out to me to bring it to our attention. I did get your vets records and we did review them. I reviewed the visit with the veterinarian who saw the litter. She saw the mom dog and her 4 puppies. (They are blaming the back yard breeder...) The owner handed her the puppies who were at large so it is unclear if we may have examined the same dog twice or if we may have missed it due to the elements of the appointment. It is a routine recommendation for any adoption or purchase of a new pet that the new owner see their regular vet within 10 days which is what you did. So it is good your vet did catch this problem immediately and recommend an echo. We discussed this with our client who mentioned she offered a new puppy or a refund. New Jersey does have a “puppy lemon law” which allows for a congenital issue with a new pet, a refund, or up to the price of the puppy for the pet's care. Your veterinarian can assist you in writing an unfit for sale to recoup the loss. We have notified our client about this situation and will give her a full refund for our services for this puppy’s exam. We are sorry again for your loss. The Veterinary state boards association needs to work on having a national veterinary license where if a vet licensed and practicing in good standing for 5 years can do the same in all 50 states. This step will enhance and get veterinarians close to practicing telemedicine sooner!

Hi, great webinar thank you. I have a couple of questions: What apps/programmes do you recommend for the actual telemedicine consultations? How can we set up online payments so more streamlined than taking them over the phone (what tech can we use). Do you have any technology that can help with virtual signing of consent forms as currently we are having to read these out over the phone which is very time consuming? Finally, do you have a streamlined way of putting written protocols in one place which can be accessed remotely? Thanks, Anna
