My mother chopped it up into chunks after taking the skin off then pressed the meat in a large bowl by placing a plate on top with a few heavy weights then put it in the fridge over night then she tipped it onto a plate and then sliced it thinly for a sandwich to take to work.

You got the cow tongue tips. We get the whole tongue. The rear part has the most meat. Pressure/instant cooker and it gets sooo tender.

Tongue is actually very high in fat, that is why it is so tender. I thought it was lean also, but when I looked it up, it is quite fatty. Delicious!!!

Looks really good, Love Cabbage , funny I’ve never thought to put chicken in it? I put chunks of ham steaks, or sliced kielbasa, (although, NOT VERY HEALTHY., SORRY ABOUT THAT! Some onions & a little chicken broth, sometimes fresh sliced carrots too & maybe a few cubed potatoes if I have leftovers and get carried away)!!!!!! Next thing ya know I’m-going to turn it into SOUP, if there were leftovers , but THERE WON’T BE! I’ll just have to make some next time!,

We Americans seem to have a problem mixing chicken with cabbage, and I'll never understand why. Cabbage goes great with practically anything ... especially bok choy cabbage.

do you use the same mixture as the soap to pipe, lm a newbie looks amazing.
@TheMelonheadTeacher
@TheMelonheadTeacher 6 жыл бұрын
We generally do not put fragrance in the topping, but it is the same mixture of oils and such. You have to watch for it to thicken to just the right consistency or it can become unable to be piped. If you put fragrance in the topping it can make it speed up or slow down in the rate at which it becomes solid. Good luck and thank you for the comment. :)

Mom used to make tongue, she usually found smoked tongue, which I never find. She'd cook it in water with about half dill pickle juice left over from pickle jars. And add cloves and other pickling spices. She didn't try to disguise what the meat was, when serving. But then she never made it for company. (I admit, when I made some to take to work for lunch... I chopped it up, so as not to disturb table mates unduly...) Good stuff!

I appreciate your memory. People are really missing out if they can't get passed the idea of it, but I understand. I have never tried it smoked like that. I get smoked turkey necks sometimes and I like that.

This label just tells what fragrance is within the soap and that it is soap. We give people a flyer telling the ingredients.

It's my understanding that if you make 'true soap' you don't need ingredient label. cold process soap is true soap. That's per the FDA website. I come across an article on Brambleberry website that indicated that, i then went to the FDA website and that's what it states. I however, always include ingredients.
