Just boil the connector, that will cause the pins to return to their pre used shape and it’ll work like you just bought the system.

After repairing my (I believe) og pin connector I now have a strange issues where some games work perfectly in the clicked down position. And others only work (and work fine) in the up, un clicked position. And also they can't be seated all the way in. They have to be pulled out just a tiny bit. Any ideas on this weird issue?

Games work now but my problem is no sound and when I have sound it’s distorted and I can’t hear anything in the game. Occasional orange screen on start up but at least I’m getting something now but wish I could get the sound fixed. I noticed when I move the av cable the distortion disappears and the video quality gets better but still don’t hear anything from the game. Any ideas?

No no no. For pressings use discogs only. Enter the matrix code found in the dead wax near the label into the search bar. From there you may need to look for a few other clues which will be specified on the discogs page For grading use goldmine standards only. Very clear instructions for each grade. This is critical. Do not go by what you think. Covers are graded separately. Careful with testing with a shitty needle. It can ruin the record.

When it comes to cleaning the games, I have always used a bone-fry Scotch Brite scouring pad. I have had better luck with using those than the pencil eraser. I've tried using the eraser on carts that were at the point of no return with no luck. The Scotch Brite Pad works every time. Now, this method will remove a little bit of the finish, but the system will have zero problems reading the cart.

I got jyped but I got it a a thrift for 15 so not too bad. You will notice it’s really laggy and bad quality video because it is not digital hdmi but composite converted to hdmi like all those crappy converter boxes people love to buy

Quick question bro, have you had one where the sound goes out no matter the choice you use to run it? The video comes in great but after a few seconds the sound goes out. Sometimes it will come back in but after a few seconds it goes back out. The game is in perfect condition. Still in the original box.

The problem is that people get greedy & watch these KZbin videos!! They overspend money on goodwill thinking they are gonna make a profit at home like a business. At the end, they have to sell everything they invested hundreds of dollars, for a few dollars. Do not sell at Marketplace & compete with local video retro video game stores. Get a decent full time job &. You will make more profit.

Do not sell at home. You gotta remember the more hours you put at your job, the monthly income from the social security will increase when retirement. If you have a job with a good 41k plan, you’ll earn more money for retirement. Do not be mislead by KZbin videos that you’re gonna earn at home thousands of dollars for retirement.

@@raulloayza5824 I woke up this morning and it was really nice outside. I decided to take the day off and maybe my dog to the park. Imma stop by the store and pick up some steaks to grill tonight. I'll tell myself I won't work but I'll probably knock a few listings out because it's easy work and being consistent is a good thing. I teach people to work with local retro stores rather than compete. Retirement, medical, insurance etc are all obtainable to anyone in this trade with the right direction and planning. I'd really hate to wake up tomorrow and know I have a boss....

@@raulloayza5824you were not meant to be your own boss, that's ok. But my take home from reselling was $132k last year, that's after fees, cost of goods and taxes/other expenses. I'm in California, that's not a ton here, but im comfortable. I don't answer to anybody(other than my wife). There are plenty of insurance options and retirement options when you are self employed. This isn't the 80's. Being self employed is very common nowadays, you can do everything a "regular business owner" is capable of doing for his employees. The same perks you get at your job are obtainable through self employment as well. Not always the greatest perks, but I'll take slightly worse healthcare over having a boss again. I am relatively stress free and can do what I want, when I want, how I want. If I don't feel like working today, I can just decide not to work and go to the beach. I don't have to beg for permission from my mommy (boss). To each their own though I guess.
