they planned to sacrifice her for the Rite of Tears to happen and reset the laws of shadows kinda. It's power of the Songque as a Shu to be killed and do something with shadows basically, so Baiji tried to do it here but he stopped because he decided to fight back the will of shadow with another ritual that doesn't require Songque to die here. (He called new ritual Rite of Shaping later)

How about the story and the npc dialog? Are they also good?

That's kinda subjective, but I liked it. Dialogues don't go on for too long and the story is presented in many different ways: Some are VN-like cutscenes (like in earlier honkai impact), some are in real time 3D like in genshin. Then there are fully animated cutscenes, dynamic comic-book pages, dialogue that happens while you move around on the TV tile-based screen. You are never just sitting there and listening to dialogue for more than 5 minutes. Also story so far is one concluding story per chapter, so there are no long multi-chapter arcs yet.

So Honkai Impact is over? I wonder if i can make an account just to binge the main story, dont care about gacha or anything else.

Part 1 is over. Honkai Impact recently started its Part 2 story. In Genshin terms, imagine the teyvat arc is over and we traveled to all the countries and reunited with our sibling and after that a new 6-7 years story arc starts. And yeah, you can make an account and just play story without needing to worry about gacha or dailies. Though keep in mind that when Hoyo started this game, they were still an indie company and the first couple chapters are basicly a modernized version of the story of their previous game (houkai gakuen), so writing and story presentation will differ alot. The first chapters are like only a couple sentences at the start and end of each stage, but later you get open world maps with exploration and multiple hours of story content and animated cutscenes for each chapter.

I have timestamps for all my videos (check video description), but youtube is having issues with it, often not showing properly when it should. I already contacted YT staff and they say it shows for them even though for me and a bucnh for my viewers it does not. I don't think there's anything I can do until YT fixes it
