Please do not grease bird feeder poles to stop Squirrels. The grease gets on birds feathers. They cannot fly and cannot get the grease off. Predators will kill birds unable to fly. I don't understand why people recommend greasing (or applying Vaseline) a pole without realizing the danger to birds. Thousands of birds die in petroleum spills. Birds will perch at top of a greased shepherds pole and then take that nasty grease back to their babies in the nest. You missed probably the best bird attractant--bird bath/water fountain. The sound of running water invites them. Having a place to bathe/wash up will keep them in your yard.

I have a 6x10 rectangular umbrella with a 75 pound base with pole tightener. 13 mph winds that can gust up to 22mph will blow it over. The issue is wide surface area with a single point of contact for stability. Since I’ve added 550 paracord w tensioners at 4 points at the umbrella rib tips down to tie down hooks, I haven’t had a single issue of tipping over. Same way you would tie down a tent for camping.

NONE of them ever come with cleaning instructions.

Impossible. Why not give some Explanation instead of playing lame music. Screws too short, won't tighten.

Im thinking of getting a gasfirepit because people don't like the smoke and smelling like smoke afterwards. There's been times when we cant all gather because they don't want their hair smelling like smoke the next day.

How long does it take the birds to come to my feeder? Any average time? I put mine out under a week ago and still nothing 😔 although I have been seeing some eyeing the food from a safe distance but they don't dare come near. I'm sad.

I have had some really bad experiences with coffee grounds. Coffee grounds is real good about attracting termites. Has anyone else had this issue with coffee grounds? Be blessed

To date, I have not found a good umbrella base that stabiles and/or can properly weight down the umbrella. I've made one myself, but it can't be moved around my pool, or I'll damage my pool deck. Sandbags don't present well, large boulders, homemade 2x2 bases that are weighted down are not appealing either.

Thank you so very much. Granny doesn't make this her daily job so those CRAPPY so called INSTRUCTIONS were pretty much worthless. Yes a picture says a thousand words but there were NO WORDS on the instruction sheet, besides that I put the damn thing up so I wouldn't lose it and guess what I have no clue where I put it. Go Figure! Ask me where any of the grandchildren's belongings are and I could tell you instantly 3 boys 19,16,and in 3 months 13. Since 2010/2011 they use to be excited to do projects like this but when their absent momma decided to attend visits 2yrs. ago the boys are all caught up in gaming (I didn't purchase the "play station") (however the 19 yr.old does work) a hard job that pays very well and rec'd a certificate for Industrial Electrical Engineering Apprentice in just 10 weeks of attending college while working 50hrs. a week. This summer Internet WI-FI box is taking a vacation "again" all summer until I can get those boys back on track. Difficult when granny has to play bad-guy while momma gets to enjoy life! My eldest son gave me this wagon to make my work less demanding last yr. for my Birthday, he used his reward work points to get it. I didn't have the heart to tell him I hadn't put it together yet. Now I'll be Thanking him soon enough for sparing my already broken back. Granny's work is never done. Raised 4 of my own by myself and these 3 grands, for awhile (9yrs) there were 9 grands all summer long, its what happens when you put a pool in the backyard. I thank the Lord for allowing me to be raised a tom-boy, it has certainly filled in the skills needed to accomplish many jobs that I certainly don't have a budget to pay a man for. I thank the Lord also for making me the homemaker my Gran and Mom were as well, those old fashioned traits have saved me a wealth of health when it comes to growing/preserving/ and cooking. The loads I will soon carry in my new Wagon will be astronomical. BULK BULK BULK, everything is bulk, gotta love the wheels. :)

At the 3:40 mark it shows a cover over the firewood. That is not a good way to dry it at all and I would not do that even after dried.
