I wish the controller companies would put better cables on their wiring harnesses. Nothing feels like even car grade. It all feels like delicate parts for some electronic device on your counter, not going down the dirt road at 50+MPH

I think you should always evaluate your technique on a basic pull test. If your wiring doesn't hold up to a tug, its going to fall apart when you turn your bars, or if something shifts inside the frame, any major impact, etc. Out here in California, I don't worry about weather or even water much. Also, this video went to grey after 11 minutes; in, audio is good but video is gone.

Very useful video for this modification. I got the conversion done but for the thumb throttle I got off of Amazon (looks pretty much the same as one in the video), I ended up having to connect the red wire on the throttle to the orange wire on the adapter (got the adapter off of Ali express- search for “Sur Ron throttle plug”). The white wire on the throttle goes to the red wire on the adapter. Black went to black. When I initially connected the red to red I got a 00700 error. I ended up switching back to the twist throttle. Wayyyy too twitchy with the thumb throttle. I suspect these thumb throttles are designed for little scooters and not for the torqueness of emotos. If you have a controller that allows you to adjust the throttle response then you could probably dial it in, but the stock controller on the eride pro ss does not allow throttle response adjustments as far as I know.
@TECHSUPPORTEBIKE
@TECHSUPPORTEBIKE Ай бұрын
@@scottmmoore11 thank you, I think you would have to switch wires around , question - so did it work with no errors or you couldn't get rid of the error. As to how sensitive the throttle is ..well it takes time with the hand and finger to get used to the response.. I did the thumb throttle because of my hand wrist...just getting old😆 well whatever works for us right 👍🙏

Yeah, man, thanks for the shout-out. I normally do run Flatout in my tires. The funny story is that I took that tire and tube off my old rear hub since its not going anywhere and my front tire was pretty worn down. but when I went to take it off, I realized it was getting flat too, So I just ordered the cheapest tubes I could find on Amazon that delivered overnight. Big mistake. I killed the first one with a pinch on the side. The second one, the whole valve stem, separated from the tube. I ended up with a "Rippin" Moto 3mm thick tube in there now. No leaks so far. As far as the hub motors, I like having big beefy motorcycle tires on my bike, and I have yet to see anyone here with a QS205 running around like I do. but yeah, these Hub motors are not seen much on the trails, mostly on street bikes. but I don't have the cash to start over or jump into another bike. Plus the cops around here seem to separate out the ebikes based on pedals. so I'll ride this one till I can't.
