The LTTE was one of the most brutal terrorist organizations the world has ever seen. The LTTE was known for its deadly suicide bombings. The Colombo Central Bank bombing that killed 91 people and injured 1400 others was one of the deadliest suicide attacks carried out by the LTTE. The LTTE was also known for its use of child soldiers. Thousands of children, some as young as nine were taken from their homes, indoctrinated, and forced to fight. These children were exposed to horrors no child should ever see. The LTTE also tortured and executed prisoners of war on several occasions. As of October 2019, 33 countries list the LTTE as a terrorist organization. These include the United States, Canada, European Union, and India. The U.S. State Department says that its reason for listing the LTTE as a terrorist organization is based on the fact that LTTE does not respect human rights and that its conduct does not meet the standards expected from a resistance movement.

Tamils and Sinhalese are siblings. But Rajalakse family, Bandar’s Nayake, ranil wikramasinke etc are not Sri Lankans, they are Telungu nayakars ,they came to srilanka from India, they are the real enemies of tamils. People who followed Shivam they speak Tamil, people who followed Buddhism who speak Sinhalese ( Tamil mixed with Pali to form Sinhalese )

Just imagine if we Tamils of both Eelam and Tamil Nadu were given an opportunity to be one separate country. We could have made one Tamil country together and rebrought the Chola dynasty. We both face the same problem. Eelam Tamils are not liked by Sinhalese. Nadu Tamils are not liked by Hindians (North Indians).

India was helpless. Already the Nadu Tamils were under DMK influence of Periyar in which they wanted a separate Dravida Nadu. But if India took sides in this war, either it would have increased Nadu separatism, or it would have completely destroyed relations with Sri Lanka. But as an Indian, we had no business being involved in their civil war.
