Right? Why tf are people giving this guy attention? He’s an absolute idiot who was down to start a massive wildfire to get attention.

If you look abstractly enough he’s got a point. People who ride less than 5 days a year should realistically be on a $400 board, $250 bindings and $200 boots if they’re buying brand new. It’s the gear that fits their skill level and requirements. Sadly we live in this keeping up with the Jones’s world, and they all want the cool stuff. So they’re dumping $1,400 on their set up when the quality of the product and the skill level of the rider do not match that price.

This guy is full of shit. Shaun isn’t “core” because he spent decades being a complete dick to other riders, fans, media, ski resort staff, hotel staff, etc etc. He is a victim of nothing but his own poor behavior and lack of character.

The plane crash will forever be a stain on his career, but at some point we have to live and let live… he made a mistake, paid his punishment and now we get to hear some cool stories again!

The only real un accessible part of snowboarding i see is lift ticket prices. If u don't buy a season pass and go 15+ times a year i can see how most people would be priced out with the prices of lift tickets these days.
@slinginleaddownrange2233 күн бұрын
So many good deals to be had on facebook markets place. Ive picked up a handful of $800 boards only ridden a few times for 300. Thats how i save money on snowboarding.

Dawg… make something different…. Like maybe AFFORDABLE LIFT TICKETS! Your “cheap” binding head ass mentality but using “accessibility” as the issue when it’s fuckin not the product, but the resort.
@Potatolvrd3 күн бұрын
Lost a lot of respect for Caleb with his shit take here. He’s creating a problem in his head when the only problem is there isn’t enough market share to create a binding brand. He is confused on what he seems to want out of this and his take is awful. Chris- thank you for saying this!

@307beez3 күн бұрын
Equipment isn’t expensive if you buy it second hand …. It’s getting to the mountains and paying for lift tickets that are the problem. Which is a ski resort industry problem not a manufacturing problem
