Yes, Japanese is supported in both Text and VA. You can apply what language you want at the start of a game or the options menu.

Wasn't able to get it working. Xbox One is really temperamental when it comes to changing languages. Japanese, Mexican Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese tend not to work. I've been meaning to retest on Series X/S
