Did you actually live during the Carter presidency? I was in high school then. Inflation was out of control, gas prices went through the roof and the long lines just to get gas before the station ran out was like something out of a post holocaust disaster film. Then of course there were the hostages. Nobody has ever said Jimmy Carter was a bad man. He was as brilliant as he was kind. He was too kind. Bad actors in the world took advantage of his passive nature. It was because of this that he was a weak president. You took the opportunity to bash President Trump, but potty mouth aside, he was a very effective president. And considering how Congress was filling out articles of impeachment before he was even sworn in, you have to be be impressed at how much President Trump accomplished under those openly hostile conditions. By comparison President Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for doing nothing but winning an election? That said, President Carter was an amazing man, but he was a poor president. President Trump is a callous man on his good days but he's an effective president. Please separate your personal opinions about a person from their qualifications to do the job.
