SH2 sounds fantastic on a model 1 Mega Drive (Genesis) and is one of those games that just sounds better with a Yamaha 2612, although this sounds better in 50Hz which is where i played SH2 on a PAL Mega Drive especially the boss theme. With that said this sounds really creepy and eerie, they really chose the right instruments that really fit the grittiness of the Mega Drive sound chip.

The fact that the game crashes when playing a specific theme also happens in Eliminate Down in the "Stage 1-2" theme in the sound test, it doesn't crash directly but once that theme bugs after a while, when commenting the game crashes in the level presentation.
@Adamtendo_player_13 күн бұрын
I think this happens in Strider as well when you’re going up the hill in the first stage, then the tune “Mosque the Cold Hearted” plays and when it gets to the end of the first loop, the instruments start going out of sync.

This game had some pretty amazing tracks! Also, out of the 5 playable characters, Sailor Moon and Sailor Saturn are the only two (I think) who can actually stun-lock. I think Saturn's damage output was slightly worse, though, so Usagi (Sailor Moon) is probably the better pick. Btw, 37:55 isn't Queen Beryl's theme, that's used for the Mamoru (forgot his other name, so I'll just call him that) fight *before* Queen Beryl. 39:16 is Queen Beryl's theme. Edit: Sorry for saying "Saturn", I meant Mercury.

You can tell Aki Hata had a Hand in the Mega Drive of Sailor Moon as her FM patches and the compositions themselves could easily be at home with YuYu Hakusho and Light Crusader which i think was the final Mega Drive game that Treasure developed.

@jsr7347 күн бұрын
@CEJOTA18007 күн бұрын
@CEJOTA18007 күн бұрын

Sailor Moon is much better on Genesis. The gameplay is much faster than the SNES version and Aki Hata's soundtrack is *_vastly_* superior to the forgettable SNES music. Some of the tracks would feel right at home in an episode of the anime.

@@Dorian_Scott On the first Sailor Moon for SNES, my favorite tracks are: - "Wangan Kousoku" - "Juuban Shoutengai", the frist stage. - "Jikuu Ijigen", the second stage. - "Dreamland", the Fun Park stage (first part) - "Okashi no Ie" - "Himitsu Kouba". - "Silver Millenium" - "Dark Kingdom". - and the "Stage Boss" music is good too.
