The perfect game for Halloween, although a Greenview regarding some of the tunes being out of sync when I can forgive this game as it was a very early release.

Specific boss theme splits... "Sock the Brain": 1 (Wild Wyvern), 4-A (Primordial Slime), 5-B (Devil Apocalypse) "Novice Reining": 2-A (Crab Wheel), 2-B (Gillman the Younger), 3-A (Count Magi McGee; I *think* they use identical katakana, ma-ggi?), 4-B (Gillman the Elder) "Sonic Keenness": 3-B (Skull Howard Mk. IV), 5-A (Gigas; it's rendered as "Gigantes", but that's the plural...) "Divided by Zero": 6-A (Bashinet-R), 6-B (Hayatemaru), 6-C (Stinbee)

I HAVE UPDATES ON THIS GAME -It seems that Studio Fazzy is actually Jorudan, who developed the port of Task Force Harrier for MD and that explains why Divine Sealing and Task Force Harrier EX sound so similar and use the same driver, they can even share a composer (Masahiro Kajihara) Although this game uses the CUBE driver by Dougen Shibuya, was CUBE aware of this game and helped create the music for this game? Or the version that the CUBE driver was stolen still stands, there are still questions to answer but more information about these h3ntai games has already been leaked.Sato

It's so hard to believe this was one of the first games for the console... You'd think everything after this would have been so much better but sadly that was only half true.
@alexisynthfm198812 күн бұрын
I'm surprised you mention that, I think you know MD well enough to know that almost all the games that sound bad are Western, it has always been known that the Japanese mastered FM much better than the Westerners and this is not something exclusive to MD , was also reflected in MS-DOS and Arcades.
@Adamtendo_player_111 күн бұрын
@@alexisynthfm1988 well it’s true that most western games on the MD sounded bad. There were some stinkers from Japanese develop games too even from Sega themselves..

(06:48) _"Village of Decay & Destruction"_ is my favorite song in the whole game. It perfectly conveys that it was once a prosperous village, but then a bunch of monsters came in and attacked the village leaving it in ruin.

one of my favorite genesis osts. I genuinely believe GEMS was an extremely capable tool - It just needed to be in the right hands and given enough time in the oven, and this ost is proof.
@Adamtendo_player_116 күн бұрын
Interesting is the correct word for this soundtrack but it just grates on the ears and is your typical GEMS soundtrack done by Mark Miller who cites this soundtrack as one his is “proud” of.
@alexisynthfm198816 күн бұрын
By the way, may he rest in peace, although if I had been involved in this soundtrack I wouldn't feel so proud, his best work is undoubtedly Robocop vs The Terminator.
@alexisynthfm198816 күн бұрын
While he's not the only composer to make ear-splitting soundtracks and be proud of his work, there's Miller's Japanese counterpart, Masahiro Yuge of Toaplan, in Arcades and even Mega Drive ports his games soundtracks also sound quite gritty and in MD ports where Yuge isn't involved like Twin Cobra, Slap Fight and Zero Wing ended up sounding better due to different arrangers.

One of the rawest GEMS soundtracks out there. A perfect fit for GRIMDARK: The Vidya Gaem.
@alexisynthfm198817 күн бұрын
I think this is one of the soundtracks that affected emulators the most, without Low-Pass Filter it sounds totally horrible but on original hardware it actually makes it a lot more enjoyable, I wouldn't classify this soundtrack as "good" and I'm a little disappointed that one of the creators of GEMS is involved; Mark Miller but it does fit the atmosphere that this game proposes.
@nickgaughan370117 күн бұрын
I seem to be among the minority who dig this soundtrack. Fits the game perfectly IMO. Great character design and atmosphere, but ultimately let down by poor controls and some sloppy level design. With a few tweaks it could have been a classic too. Ah well, I still enjoyed it
