Tunch was an amazing Man! I met him at training camp & on the Pittsburgh Legends cruise. He is greatly missed but I'm sure the Lord needed him home. RIP brother Tunch.

Whenever people say 1 person can't make a difference, I think of Tunch Ilkin and say "Yes they can!"

I would love to volunteer to or work with u guys. I drive lyft uber i live in armstrong county and i drive into the city 3 to 5 days a week to work/ drive.... i am a Recovering heroin addict/xanax clean since 01-29-08. I carry narcan and xylazine/fetanol test strips in my car to either hand out to homeless ppl i think r in need or just to have on hand for passengers if an emergency occurs (ive been trained with both items and have certification to distribute.) But id absolutely love if someone can contact me if theres anything else i can be doing even if its needle clean up i dont care i was them once upon a time and i need to do these things for my own sanity A and B i understand and see them as a person not just an addict. Even though i know 99% of the time what i say or do doesnt matter eventually there will be a person that it does make the difference!! Anyway i stumbled on the video when i was looking up how to donate items or very gently used clothing i have tons. And would rather give to a place knowing it goes to ppl who desperately need!! Anyway appreciate what u guys do would love to help any way i can!!❤❤❤

well it really is relying on what your personal needs are; what ever it is that you are suffering from; light of life has an avenue to fix your broken heart; i speak from experience because i am a client there. my story is of one that is of a past of substance abuse from severe depressive issues, therefore i am in the long term 12-24 months life recovery program and there also is one designed to help with people suffering from mental health problems; located in Pittsburgh on 665 ridge ave; then you have the homeless shelter on Voeghtly St. for those suffering from homelessness for any multitude of reasons, there-in is a safe haven for those who have no where to go, needing to recover a steady foothold in there new ways of life then you have the women and children shelter focused on the recovery of the bond between mother and child, so really its case by case basis according to your needs.

One night before serving dinner at Light of Life, Hutch paused and led the kitchen in prayer. My two teenage sons were in the kitchen to volunteer. What a blessing for my sons and me to hear Hutch humble himself before God and the entire kitchen. I praise God for Hutch's witness. What Hutch prayed that night has stayed with me, and I have faith that God will reach out his hand when we are most tested.

Donnie, I have never heard the message that “this can happen to anyone” in a way that would make most people believe it until this video. Your courage is inspiring.

This was very moving and real to me. I have seen others in my life whose stories are similar to Donnie. The sad part is that it is such a hard and long journey to reaching bottom and such a difficult struggle to work yourself out of that hole. Organizations like Light of Life are literally a life-line to many who had given up hope. Their genuine love and respect shown for their clients (not the best word!) is the most important key to help these truly unfortunate folks onto a recovery path.

It looks delicious. Too bad orange, sub-terra edibles, mixed with fermentables, sugar fuel, orange and multiple spices, attract multitudes of variant errant plasmas (which pollutes spirit, thus disabling meditation, esp on the North Shore). Thank you. Love, Energy's Us
