You can definitely write it. It seems like you have more experience than most of your potential readers. And like you say, KZbin videos and friends can fill in some of the gaps. If I could offer one bit of advice regarding impostor syndrome, I'd say it sometimes takes the shape of "I need to do more research so I can understand this scene better." And then the draft gets set aside indefinitely. Impostor syndrome's goal is to take creativity away from you. It will use any avenue to achieve this. Your creative vision is more important than any amount of "authenticity" or "realism." I believe the story already knows where to go, and it just needs you to sit at they keyboard for long enough to bring it into the world.
