Thanks mam...for showing the exact right color.... When i showed this kind of faint baby pink color to professor... He told me to put more titrant...and made it more dark pink colour relatively..... I knew it was not correct...... Thanks a lot from all the ways of India....

I live in North East India, I wish there were matchbooks available here, I've search as much as I can to get them, but the only way I found that I could get them I will have to spend around $380 worth of local currency to get $2 worth of matchbooks from the states. India being poorer compared to the states $380 worth of local currency is worth much more to us compared to the typical American.

Was trying to light the incense and wasted several matches (first time using a matchbook, since they're much thinner than the regular matches I held them a bit too much and bent them). Only got one to work but got it too close to the finger and had to put it out before I could light the incense. Using your method I was able to get the match lit without the fire getting too close to my finger or the match bent, and was finally able to light the incense. I'm happy with the results. Thank you for sharing! Tip: when I applied pressure to the match head, I didn't press too hard but made sure the match head and the strike strip had max contact.

There’s a better way to strike the matches to reduce the chance of breaking, and also make striking more consistent. Basically, angle the match so the strike is going in the same direction as the head, rather than the opposite. It’s kinda tough to explain with words, ig, but it comes down to putting pressure in-line with the matchstick, rather than flexing it as you strike.
@middknightdream1577 Жыл бұрын
You mean strike it length wise (side to side) of the striker instead of width (top to bottom)?
@Eighty4prcnt Жыл бұрын
Holy shit, I've been struggling with these VERY flimsy ass matches I get that break constantly. This is a sure fire way (haha get it) to light it consistently and not scorch my finger tips. I did kinda mess up the first go because I squeezed a bit too hard, but flipped it over and got it second try with less pressure.

You pinch the match between your thumb and index a half inch below the head. Hold the book in the other hand so the strike pad is vertical and quickly without hesitation strike the top of the head of the match not the side across the pad. Make sure the match head goes along the whole surface. If you strike the side of the head it will make the stick floppy and won't be easy to light.
@cheerleadrheartbreak Жыл бұрын
It's rare but the way shown in the video can occasionally ignite the whole book. Also leaves the remaining matches exposed so any spark can ignite the heads as well the book is designed with the flap to be closed over the matches when lighting one to prevent that from happening.

1cm or half inch is enough. and also, you dont want to pull out the match. instead, pull on the strike pad side.
