The rhythm of norwegian is close to english...I grew up speaking English and German. I loosely study Swedish...can't be sure but I THINK I understood about a quarter of what's going on here

Are you kidding me, New York City and Los Angeles to the two worst cities in our country! And there's nothing good about New Yorkers nothing good about Los Angeles and if you try to make light of what's going on there then you are part of the problem.

I also left the cities to heal myself... But I stayed. Country life is way better. Healing 24-7 is awesome.

Go back to Norway after you graduate, if you value your life...NY City is a shell of what it was when it became world famous in the early 1900s because of Thomas Edison,(electric lights, recorded music) Alexander Graham Bell,(telephone) Henry Ford(cars), and other great inventors. My life in my boring old hometown (a suburb of Buffalo, NY) was a lot better than my life in overpriced NY City where I had much less real friends. It's too bad it took me most of my adult life before I realized that... I regret being "starstruck" by NY City to this day.

I always wonder people from very developed countries like Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and Denmark choose to live in the US. Life is so much better in your country yet you feel like the US is better and I don't know why.

Get some hobby that you like that will keep you busy when you’re free and not seeing the sights. I’d suggest dance. NYC has some of the best dance schools in say salsa in the world. Take some classes and you’ll be busy partying most nights a week, and you’ll meet a lot of people to go out with doing things. Dance will be your way into experiencing the city. Dance is one activity. There are others. That’s what I’d suggest.
