Thanks for the great tutorial. I have a question though. When I add position for the import solid I get a simple geometrical set, not an ordered geometrical set. How can I change this?

Bro what is cusp error can you post on it. Vortex leads to cusp.
@catiaguidelines4521
@catiaguidelines4521 4 жыл бұрын
Actually, when CATIA is not able to form a solid it gives cusp error. It occurs mainly because the CATIA do not know how to align the two section profiles you have selected, it simply tries to create solid between them. However if two profiles are not properly aligned with each other then unnecessary twisting will occur during solid formation, that is why we need to adjust the position of start and end point. In certain cases we also need to assign guide curves to avoid this twisting. You need to check the positions of starting point and end point first, here you need a little bit visualization skills to identify why solid is not able to form, accordingly change the position of start and end point. You may also need to change or create new guide curves to properly form the intended solid. I hope you understood the problem, if you are still facing the same issue please mail me the CATPart I will try to find the solution.

@@catiaguidelines4521 yes, I have later solved it by dividing the line entities i have into equal parts for multiple cross sections.

In elipse i have 23 ponit on that curve with some distance ,i want to rotate my object along the axis of elips and place that object on the point. I tried circular pattern it not come properly to match that elipse curve.if any option is there can you explain me.
@catiaguidelines4521
@catiaguidelines4521 5 жыл бұрын
First of all sorry for the delay, I think you need to use "User pattern" instead of "Circular pattern" because circular pattern is more specific command and if you want to pattern along eclipse for 23 intervals in your case then that will not be circular pattern. You need to create 23 points in the sketch of eclipse using equidistant point command. Then just select user pattern command and select that sketch. Did I answer your question? if you have any problem please comment.

how we can create the pocket on nonplanar surface with the uniform dimension just imagine there will a spline kind of a surface with the width of 30mm height of 30mm length of 100 mm there will a 4 waves kind of spline
@catiaguidelines4521
@catiaguidelines4521 6 жыл бұрын
Hi, you need to first create new plane. Draw your profile on that plane then use pocket command to create pocket. If you want uniform depth for your pocket then you need to use other commands to cut the material as you want. You can do it in Part modelling itself OR you may have to go for hybrid modeling. This totally depends upon the shape of your model and how you need to cut the material.
