The rf power may be at 11 o clock in that video I'm sorry. I let the radio key about 25 30 watts and swing up from there. High dead key on a radio doesn't do anything positive for your audio or the radio. And they will all swing about full potential from 10 or 11 o clock.

@joekowalsky2754
@joekowalsky2754 10 ай бұрын
Put up a antron 99 if it's a base. The bottom of antenna will need to be above your roofline at a minimum. The antenna is only 100 bucks on Amazon. If your mobile, sirio 5000 performer. And the sirio mag base with the coax will do just fine. Was talking six on channel 6 yesterday from my car, I was near the shorline and running considerably less power than most.

On my commercial boat I have an antron setup on the roof, and an anytone 6666. That's it the water helps and I get out on ssb just about anywhere. On regular am It works well too, but can get drowned out by big power stations. I'll probably do a 400w radio on the boat soon. Considering 30am watts talks skip pretty well 400 would be comparable to running 2k on land.

The FV Seaskimmer is working on our own private 30 acre Harvest lot. I own the seafloor on this plot. I pay taxes as you all do on your property. My lot is subdivided into 6 sections. I plant them all throughout the year. From that point we maintain and care for our crop just as any land based farm would do. Once a certain size is achieved among a section, that section is sample tested then open for harvest. I only ever have two subsections of this particular lot open at any one time to ensure growth. The benefit is only removing harvestable sizes, constantly saving smaller oysters moving them to a closed sublot to grow. This cycle is worked as any land based crop. I hope you all enjoy this peek into our world.

@michaelj343 I see your side ad well. A large oyster company works long island sound. They have average in the many thousands. They have no use for natural oyster beds. They work the natural beds the hardest.... they take it all, shell oysters anything the dredge picks up. Their reason is so it's not left behind for anyone himself. NORM BLOOM OF NORWALK CT SAID " you almost have to destroy it to get rid of these little guys..." of course Norm Bloom is loved by the beurocrats and public. THE DONATIONS FLOWWW. I have been an active member on the local shellfish commission. And we donate a lot of time to a natural bed a few of us have cultivated wild seed from. We cull, separate seed and shell. I have switch to purchasing hatchery seed. I have had too. Sadly the commissions regulations are not followed. We call for enforcement and it never comes. But if I have a 2.25 inch oyster aboard They claim the entire load is illegal. I have hundreds of hours shell shifting the natural bed. (Housatonic river). Countless hours stirring, to watch the largest company COPPS ISLAND OYSTERS take everything grinding and grinding. So you make valid points. I just wanted to make myself clear we are one of the few trying to hold on, shifting tactics. They haven't killed us yet, until that happens we are still here. Thank you for the apologies I appreciate it.
