@@Venture_Bros it’s not that much I read on the technical notice that you need to remove the reinforcement hull and reseal but it’s not that easy, to remove it you have to remove the engine mount 😅 Thank you !

Just under the battery depth, tip the jet ski back so the water can fill up in the back more.

2 good ways to do this.. no1 is to use a thin tube of stainless.. [push fit with loctite ] called a speedy sleeve.. and what these guys did... boat epoxy resin is good for this as well.. these guys keep leaving out key features in there vids.. the way to sand this coated shaft is to use 40mm wide emery paper nearly a meter long and to see saw right around.. .. like shinning shoes

As long as all the bolts are out of the bellhousing and also the 3 removed from the torque converter it will come off pretty easy, sometimes need to use a flat head screwdriver to help.

It was cleaning up so nicely. Why part it out?? Parts for these Vt -VX are plentiful and cheap as chips. That VX had a straight body, the paint even looked ok. Be a perfect daily for someone to make use of. Now you've got parts everywhere to store and advertise. Youve got $hit everywhere that's a pain to step over ,look at and you can't even take it for A backroad rally or lil skid in the AM hours. Plus you've wasted hours cleaning and pulling it apart. Before 1 major part sells...how about putting old Scully back together. THE VX Files is a good show mang. Rewind this wasted commodity.

What was the reason for the steel weld? Do you think you could have done this without removing the engine?
@Venture_Bros
@Venture_Bros 11 ай бұрын
The steel wield was just to build up a hard surface that could be sanded down for the seal to seal against., yes could be done without removing the engine but was much easier to remove it so we could sand the surface smooth and measure it to make sure it was round.

once the jet pump is removed will the drive shaft just pull out of the pto to apply grease to the ends ? or will the pto cover need to be removed to get the shaft out ? thanks for showing your videos -John in Texas

how can i make sure that my pto is bad? i have a 2015 seadoo spark with only 40 hours never ridden in salt water. it was riding really good the whole time i rode it then parked it for a bit and next time i took it for a ride it was revving up and making a slight noise but not going over 8mph. i thought it sucked up some rocks but i took apart the jet and the Wear Ring and Impeller has no damage at all. it was full on gas. i have no idea why this happened if anyone has any knowledge on this please let me know.
@Venture_Bros
@Venture_Bros Жыл бұрын
O really that's a tricky one, my first thought is to check the wear ring, I would make sure you have no damage to the impeller and check the splines on the drive shaft, also check the wear ring alignment and make sure it has no cracks in it, but without seeing it it's hard to know, let me know tho how you get on.
