I liked seeing your haul and I’m sorry the store is closing. I live in Canada so we don’t have AG stores here. It’s too expensive to order online with shipping and the exchange rate. I like your idea of buying older dolls instead. Nanea’s dress is so pretty. I hope you find her to add to your collection! 🤗

Ag does a new elf on self every year. One year, there were girl elves, and character dolls pets were never joined. I prefer it that way. Truly Me pets are posable, which is fine, I think they are out of scale to dolls. In the past, all pets were non posable even the Truly Me ones, of course, the line was called "Just Like You" at the time. I can't explain why posable pets feel off brand almost look cheaper to me, idk why? I personally think AG quality is improving in the last few years. 2021 onwards has been a notable improved, but that’s just my opinion. I started collecting in 2017, which was a low point of quality, maybe all-time low, actually.

@@margaretespinoza4492 I didn’t know that all character pets are posable! That’s interesting! I think part of the reason I prefer posable ones is because those were the first ones I had so they seem better to me, but it’s just a matter of opinion. And I agree that ag quality has gone up in some places, especially since permapanties and stuff like that. But I also think it has gone down on some stuff, I think it just depends on what you look at. I also forgot about the girl elf on the shelf, I didn’t even think to look it up, I just assumed they were all the same! Thanks for letting me know!

@summersolsticeag I looked up the pet and joined ones that have only been a thing for about 10 years they were added as a part of the Truly Me line name introduction when ag renamed "My American Girl" line to "Truly Me" line. Also, these are the exceptions to no joint rule with character dolls. 1. Saiges horse Pecasso, and 2. Z Yangs dog Pupcorn, which is a repackaged Truly Me pet.

It was absolutely not worth $55! I got it in the same sale that you did. That was the perfect price. I really was only interested in the hoodie and the shoes. Like you, I knew that the skirt was big and didn’t really care as I wasn’t buying it for the skirt. Now that I have the outfit, I like the skirt. I also like it worn higher up, so the skirt is shorter.

Yes I use the puck lights also. I need to put new batteries in my right now but they work very well when they have good batteries in them.

I use the Puck lights from Dollar Tree and Superglue Foam Mounting Tape (also from Dollar Tree). And they work well. I'd suggest 2-3 Puck Lights in each room. Maybe more since your rooms are larger than mine maybe 4-5 Puck Lights. And use good batteries not those from Dollar Tree. I use Kodak Super Heavy Duty ZINC batteries from Forman Mills. I get 20 for $4.99
