Totally agree about the Harley. Seen one ya seen em all. After a short time they all look alike. Like you, i chose to be more of an individual in my choice of a bike. Good on you!

I know you said that you put 21 inch rims in the front and 18 inch rim in the back but I was wondering what the tire size was in the front and back like with the 3 numbers to determine what your width and outside diameter of the actual tire. Like 180/85/18 or something? I just wanted to know if you changed the outside diameter of the tires and not just the rims? If the outside diameter is larger on the back than the original did you have to reset and adjust the speedometer to reflect the larger diameter etc? Please let me know what your tire sizes where used. Thank you

@@SergioB-f4g you can order the R18 with 21/18 wheels and tires 120/70/21 and 180/55/18 and i have this size.. tge new roctane have 21 and 18 with the same tore sizes.. and in the R18 original papers are two wheel combi,, 19/16 and 21/18 .. i bought my rims here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHjMnIWibNiGndUsi=ZsOgvL0tX8EyXufC And on my channel are some videos from the Roctane modificated a little bit, looks great.. with 21/18 wheels original from Bmw

Hi. Thanks for all the information. I looked at the video and indeed the larger front wheel looks a lot better. And the large 18 inch rear wheel is the same outside diameter as the 16 inch wheel but the 18 has a smaller tire side wall making you see more spokes. Looks great. I guess you bought the bike with the smaller wheels knowing that you would change them anyways to larger. I see that you put new brake rotors on the front wheel. You could not use the same rotors from your smaller front wheel?

@@SergioB-f4g hello, you mean brake discos?? Front discs are the same.. back disc change from the 2023 model to the 2021 model.. I boutght bigger spoke wheels , bmw dont offer bigger spoke wheels, only aluminium but i like more spoks ;-)

Die Motorschutzplatte kommt bei mir ab und wird durch eine von SW-Motech ersetzt. Die originale ist mir zu flach. Dazu noch die Sturzbügel, der Street Rack Gepäckträger und die Kofferhalter von der gleichen Firma. Für Lima, Kupplung und Wasserpumpe noch Die Kunststoffabdeckungen von GP Racing. Ich hoffe das reicht für den nächsten Trip über den TET Bosnien.

I like the BMW logo but maybe the writing roctane is a little bit shiny for my taste. Maybe a matte finish is better for my taste, but in general your customization is very effective

You made a superb work! I really like your modifications. I bought one a month ago and I really love the "bobber" conversion but mine is a 100 years so I'm not sure to "throw away"the personalized rear fender, the bags (that I could sell) and the seat. But I think with the conversion this become the best looking bike ever! I also own a R1200C which is with me since 2001. I should sell it but I'm waiting because I love her :) One word about the brake lines you made it: great job, man! as you said the details are important! On the R1200C the break lines are wonderful. Only one line and near the wheel the line splits in two but running on the fender so you see nothing. It's perfect. On the R18 there are these two cables that are very ugly. So you made a great modification in my humble opinion! Greetings from Italy. I'd like to comment in German but I'm learning it and is very tough! I'm sure I can write huge errors :) Have a nice ride

Ich find die BMW Klasse. Bei mir steht auch eine R18 in der Garage, ist echt ein schönes Bike fährt sich aber wie ein Panzer. Im Frühjahr habe ich mir noch eine 750Gs von 2018 mit 4000km für 8500,- dazu gekauft. Ich muss gestehen, dass ich die R18 so gut wie nicht mehr fahre und mich in die kleine BMW verliebt habe. Jetzt überlege ich, ob ich die 750GS gegen die 900GS Adventure tausche. Ich fahre über 40 Jahre Motorrad und hatte fast alles was bei BMW im Angebot war. Glaubt mir, von der F750GS bis zur 900GS sind klasse Bikes und lassen keine Wünsche offen, gerade bei groß gewachsenen Fahrern. Wenn ich meine Koffer an die 750GS stecke, sieht meine R18 wie ein Zwerg dagegen aus! Ich denke ich schlage zu, im alter möchte ich es bequemer haben und 105 PS sind für mich auch mehr als ausreichend.Die normal 900GS gefällt mir optisch nicht, aber ist Geschmacksache, ist mir zu winzig. Über die Kritik am Motor kann ich nur lachen, wir haben in der Firma 6 Einachser mit dem China - Motor, die laufen ohne Probleme. Ich glaube China ist das Deutschland was wir gern hätten, die bauen heutzutage vieles mindestes genauso gut wie die Deutschen ....

Deswegen hab ich mir ja die 900er gs gekauft weil die kaum Probleme haben die Motoren.Aber der Motorsound an sich klingt echt gar nicht gesund. Nach meinem Empfinden… Meine R18 Liebe ich ueber alles ;-) die hat schon ueber 13.000km in einem Jahr runter.. und mein Bmw Elektro C Evolution Roller fast 40.000km .. die 900er Gs bin ich seid Monaten nicht mehr gefahren.. Beautiful bike, you have modified this bike very well, it’s how BMW should have made it. Only two points of criticism, 1) I think you must raise the exhaust somehow as this will allow better lean angle, and2) you need to install the handlebar risers that angle back so leaning forward is not so extreme. These are small points and may not be how you yourself feel, motorcycles are very individual and are very subjective. Love your work and a nice video. Thanks.

@@mikestewart7322 hi, the handlebar riser for mi is good. Have long arms and i feel good to drive the bike.. and the exhaust. Is the are a little bit higher is better but, wheel. Sometimes are touch down with the street.. for is ok. Take care and thanks for your comment

Sitzhöhe ist nicht gleich Sitzhöhe. Der Schrittbogen ist wichtig. Ich hatte bei der bmw auch Probleme gehabt mit den Füßen (obwohl Strassenreifen) und bei meine Triumph Tiger 900 gt pro habe ich überhaupt keine Probleme obwohl 840mm Sitzhöhe hat.
