Thanks for the tutorial. I couldn't work out how to put off the side I wasn’t using or change the temperature so good I found your video. The instructions are useless. 😊

What's going on, simple, more vape shops, more barbers, more just eat, deliveroo, car wash etc etc etc. A slum of a town presided over by a non wiganer who's privately educated. The things that are going on outside town centre are privately funded overpriced housing etc. Our pensioners will freeze to death this winter due to stupid labour voting sheep who think labour are socialists, Lisa Nandy is NOT A WIGANER!! in the may elections every working class wiganer needs to vote these people out. Forget your hatred of Tories, wake up and vote independent (people actually of Wigan) it's disgusting what's happened to Wigan, this council and government are liars, pigs in troughs. No new housing in Wigan will go to the homeless wiganers, we all know where new housing will go. GET THEM OUT!!

They're trying to turn us into a "destination" along the lines of major cities. Thats admirable but, who's going to say "lets go to Wigan for a day out" when we're so close to Liverpool and Manchester. Who here has tried driving into town over the last few years, nightmare, thats even if there was something to go for, WMBC doesnt like the motorist. An earlier poster mentioned Middlebrook, when its busy, its busy but, you can still park and its free. There was a time, and coming from a Wiganer this is blaspemous, going into St Helens was a better option with free parking in a lot of places, but that place has gone downhill a lot since C19.

You remind me of Tony Hancock. Your reviews are (intentionally) rubbish. You only gave 3 stars to Hendricks, you use shite tonic, i think the funniest thing about your on-screen persona is that nothing he says could be taken seriously. That is the whole point of it and I fear this goes sailing over the head of most people. Yours is a kind of guerrilla warfare- oriented satire and I'm exremely pleased to find it alive and well - or perhaps a little unwell, but still alive - in 2024. Even though this was 2021. Dont stop doing what you do, sir.

@@TheElderGamer i'm only subscribing because of those qualities. Did you do other gin reviews? Media fawning over youth plus the infantilisation of the English inclines me to older and far more interesting characters. And also gin.

I find it difficult taking people under about 50 seriously. I watch their mouths moving and realize they've googled eveything.

there is at least one gin review playlists, playlists are the only way to view this channel, its a hotchpotch of stuff tbh.

Thankyou so much, this worked with my hitachi tv. But if you are considering buying this remote take some batteries with you and check if it works while you're there, if it doesn't work the red power button will not light up when you are pressing buttons. They said it was a common problem with this brand😊

As a lad in the 70s and 80s my mum and dad took me to wigan every Saturday. I loved the atmosphere of the market traders pitching china. 'Upon my sole this was the place' Dixons and my dad getting me a better present for xmas and tea cakes in lowes followed by a trip to Mcnulties. Wigan taught me so much even though I am closer to the dark side...Saints fan sorry. A couple of questions if that's ok? What was the name of the modle shop on the same road as lowes....it stank of damp but I loved it as an 11 year old. And.....there was a guy in his 50s ish, who sold records outside the market hall....fish in the left his stall down to the right. He sold some albums to me that were...rather life changing. What happend to him? Sorry for the long comment, but Wigan, above all the places I have lived, has done so much for shaping my attitudes to community and integrity. What happened to The Cheese Cabin....my late father loved it! I have subscibed and loved the view of your shop. Thank you and best wishes, Idlespin.

I'll keep an eye for the Galleries Redevelopment progress. May be worth adding a map pin for the new footpath. Thanks for the update. I found the video useful.
I’ve had my double draw air fryer for yrs, I hate cleaning that drip tray at the bottom. Just in case you’re interested, I now have those silicon inserts that you can buy, so much easier to clean now, but I do prefer my glass oven, which they have now decided to call an air fryer.

I've had the same model of air fryer for the last 10 months and happy with it. A medium chicken fits in the larger basket and cooks fine. I cook breast down for the first half, then turn it over for the last half of cooking.

That map at the end is a trip. I was born in 79 in Billinge hospital and grew up in Ashton. While we visited Warrington as a family more often, Wigan was an occasional Saturday jaunt. I've got strangely good recall from my early years - I remember Loews department store, very much in its slow close era, floor by floor being closed off. My first film was at the Ritz cinema (1984) and I do have some *very* fuzzy images in my head of the old market hall before they knocked it down. I also remember Toy and Hobby as well. My memories from my teenager years are much more vivid however. From the age of 12 I was allowed to catch the bus in to Wigan on a Saturday and I was a massive mallrat, wandering around the amazing new Galleries (which by all accounts was a very sympathetic and well thought out design, although not without its flaws). I still maintain the Grand Arcade was a shopping centre too far and led to the current... bombed out hole in the ground. The new market building won't be anywhere near as timeless as the one that stands now, and I confidently predict that the rest of the de-militarised zone will be a thorn in the side of Wigan for years to come as the council continues to mis-manage the whole shebang. I notice with a certain degree of sadness that St Helens is going to give this whole thing a try. Without a doubt they had too many shopping centres for modern requirements, I just hope they've decided to knock down the right one! Will have to visit the Old Country in the new year at some point and will pop in to the shop if I do so!
