How a renowned society puts a presentation on the treatment of any heart disease on an open video platform, providing access to medical information to a lay audience? This is, at the very least, complete irresponsibility. A shame.

And the cost is often more than a US woman gets in her entire Social Security payment. So nice work on the lucky study patients but the rest of us are expendable apparently. NOT appreciated!

The music (muzak?) track on this video is _incredibly_ intrusive and irritating and reduces the impact of the message, as one constantly tries to filter it out. The video would be much more impactful without any music. When my cardiologist visits my hospital bed, he is not accompanied by a backing track!

this video in my opinion has very little benefit to the lay person, it would need to be dumbed down to have any real value.

Would like to see video for patients' understanding. Describing name of the medications rather than ACEIs or ARNIs etc. Less giargons more layman terms please. Also slower speed of speech for foreigners or patients. Very informative video for heath professionals. Need one equavalent for patients, easier to understand. Thank you so much.

It’s interesting they talk about Black Lives Matter but there are very few black cardiologists or cardiovascular experts in Canada. If a census of black cardiologist were conducted today, I highly doubt we would exceed 10. Sadly this is not because of a lack of interested or qualified black applicants, there are many aspiring black cardiologists in the country but the lack of mentorship presents a challenge. Even more concerning is that program directors who are often Caucasian/Asian do not picture black residents applying for fellowship or cardiovascular surgery as an archetype of physicians they should have in their program. Unacknowledged Systemic racism is rampant and will continue to be a disservice to the changing demographic of Canada. The face of Canada is changing and cardiovascular care needs to catch up in its representation. It’s also interesting that a video on EDI spurred by BLM has no black cardiologists speaking as members of the EDI committee. This is a big oversight for CCS. Perhaps this was just another EDI lip service video crates for the semblance of “doing something”

Thank you for your comments. The CCS endeavors to be inclusive in what it does and we are continually learning, finding gaps to address, and trying to improve. The video announces our commitment to change. It is through the work and input of our members and engagement with the community that we will advance towards doing things better and achieving this important goal.

I think EDI should start during training. Most cardiology programs in the the country lack non-Caucasian trainees.

I would love to see a CCS guideline showing ARNI as the first-line treatment for HF. ARNI can double the benefits shown by ACE-Is as shown in the PARADIGM-HF study. In another study, PIONEER -HF also showed that ARNI can significantly lower NT-pro BNP compared with ACE-Is.

I grew up with asthma; I suffered sinus and respiratory infections my entire life. I started smoking at 16. When I was in my early 40s, my asthma was becoming increasingly worse. I was diagnosed with CHF at age 47. I am now 55. I quit smoking four years ago. The disease does not improve. My good days were far, I was scared that I won’t survive it but I was so lucky to receive a herbal products from my step father who bought it while coming from South Africa for Rugby league, this herbal remedies saved me from this disease, at first it helps fight the symptoms of diseases and I was seeing good outcome, I had to use it for 13 weeks just as they Dr was prescribed and I was totally cured of asthma and Congestive heart failure (CHF) ( multivitamincare.org ) do not hesitate to purchase from them they deliver across worldwide also.
