There is a special place in hell where McNamara is getting the extra hot treatment for what he did to the Vietnamese, and to all the young Americans who he sent there to fight with their hands tied behind their back... all be cause he and LBJ micro managed the war with Westmooreland as the incompetent liar feeding everybody lies they liked to hear.

A proposed amendment doesn't have to originate in Congress. 38 state legislatures may call and convene a convention for that purpose, and bypass Congress. If 38 approve the amendment, it is then ratified and becomes part of the Constitution. However, this process has never been used. Note that the President and SCOTUS are not involved in the amending process. The President cannot veto it, and the SCOTUS cannot declare it un-Constitutional. Since the Bill of Rights (the first ten), only seventeen amendments have bee ratified. And, the 21st repeals the 18th. The Founding Fathers made it very difficult to amend the Constitution, which is desirable so it can't be amended on a whim.

Holy wowsers!! This doesn't even START till 11 MINUTES IN!!! Big inaccuracy regarding women's nonexistent violence towards their own slaves. They didn't struggle in it but, in fact, leaned right in & were actually often more violent/vindictive then men.

Racks of molded foam "bombs" racked up and painted with lot numbers etc. left out in the open so satellites or spies can report them. Others set up for leaflet drops swapping out with latest news/impacts. The power of the press? or Pressing power? Declassified as it's practically ancient history (pre-Internet).

American economy has always been dependent on welfare. 1 from the pillaging of the natives 2. From the wages denied to blacks in bondage. Heavy handed govt intervention taking from one and giving to another has always been a necessary part of the American economy. It’s never been all that it’s claims to be. Listen to the second generation immigrants in this documentary talk about how their ambition is the difference between them and the people on welfare.

Nice for living history so to understand what our ancestors went through. But I couldn't do pharmacy delivery in one of these cars. My 0:31 0:31 understanding is top speed 65 mph. Not good enough for ,I 5 in flyover country WA state or I ,90 in Rocky Mountain West Eastern WA. Manual steering too fatigue. Manual no power drum brakes too fatigued as nd heat up on hwy 99 in suburbia. 3 speeds if stick shift. Can't drive stick here because of traffic. Also my personal experience is really need 4 to do the job right. A form of 4 speed overdrive was offered. I heard runs engine great but also heard to confusing for most people. Engine design for s**** gas even though 1940 could have used massed produced avation gas to fuel better engines Flathead engine design which got replaced by the overhead valve V8 revolution.. Also flathead valve adjustment and valve jobs a horror show. And there may have been other things. Cable operated brakes. Suspension in front look like horse and buggy. I don't know if Ford was still doing this in 1940 but if they weren't it hasn't been all that long ago that they upgraded.Automatic transmission available Hydra magic but it was sold by GM and very expensive. No pollution controls. WA doesn't like that adnd sever restrictions for how much you can drive. Probably doesn't meet safety standards because we didn't know until the 1970's hoe to build cars right. I think the real issue here is 1940 was a lifetime ago and there has been so much progress So as to makev1940 too far behind to be useable.

Any similarity here with MAGA Nationalists trying to take over Congress? Trump has since warned of bloodshed if he's not elected. His former military adviser and Pentagon chief, General Mark Milley, said that, " These are the same ones we fought in WW II." Trump lost his lawsuit against CNN for comparing him to Hitler. The evidence against him is overwhelming. His own words and actions have indicted and convicted him, the same as 91 felony counts.

I never saw this historic report before. It opened my eyes to that time period and how welfare was distributed to families. It gives me a better idea of some people's reasons for destroying the east side of the city in the name of Urban Renewal. 🙁

I remember that IBM wanted to come to Newburgh, but the City Administration fought against it. They went to Poughkeepsie and Fishkill instead. I wonder how the city would have been like with 15,000 to 20,000 well paying jobs brought in ? How many thousands of other spinoff jobs would have been created too ? It seems to me, that Mitchell thought he could get rid of the people living on Welfare by removing the housing. Then the vultures came in and made millions tearing out the heart of the city.😡
