I am not normally a fan of the comic style Brinebloods does, but the little blimps are very cool models.

They are so silly and fun, plus the rules are so unique that it fits right in.

Josh was my GM for a game of 1st ed that he ran for a couple years back in the 90s. (He was a regular at the game store I worked at). Earthdawn is a really interesting take on a lot of classic Fantasy tropes. It's one I always hoped to bring back to the table, either as a GM or a player, but it's never happened.

Yet another work of art that I want as a film series, miniseries & so forth! I hope you all enjoy my style as combat is the antithesis of lethality as any-thing abusive IS PERVERSE in-fact hence progress not retardation as the effect. (<_<) #UnFuckYourSelf

You need to check your shit... the Disney star wars is horrible. Full of identity politics and leftist agendas. The mandalorian is the first thing they've put out that's been anything remotely like star wars.

I know this is pretty old, but I came across this channel by trying to look up some differences between Warhammer and Warmachine/Hordes. Mainly because I have just recently gotten into Warmachines and I've been trying to wrap my head around it all...however I can find no one that plays it where I am anymore. I get the same story a lot at my local game stores that certain changes were made to the game and everyone there just stopped playing and moved on. Which honestly makes me really sad because I happen to like the models and aesthetic a lot and I just feel like I missed the opportunity to really play the game ever. Which makes me want to get into 40k or age of sigmar since that's what's being played. I just don't seem to like the warhammer stuff as much. All in all, good podcast, glad to be watching the channel.

Is the world setting still the same or is there a timeline difference since 1st Ed? (ie does 4th take place x years since 1st ed)

No true timeline change.

For years PP were doing everything right that GW was doing wrong. In the last year the tables have turned 180 degrees. GW now has a much tighter rule system and codex balance; easier cost effective ways for new players to jump in. Much faster stock ordering and delivery; good balance between casual and tournament play. Good gateway games (Kill team and Shadespire) to attract people to their brand. PP needs to put more effort into rule balance prior to release and not leave it up to the community. Stock availability is a big issue. Lack of focus on casual play means you either go big or go home.
@MoreThanDice6 жыл бұрын
I think your comment on casual play really can hurt a game in the long run. How would you suggest WarmaHordes be played casually?

Love ED - Same as you hated Living Room Games versions. Although 3rd ed was ok. Do you run an ED campaign online ?

I don’t run an ED online right now. Just the Star Wars F&D game.

i can see the reason the game doesnt want conversions and or/is strict about them. They want a clean game, not cluttered or confused with different looking things than people are used to seeing, or knowing.
@MoreThanDice6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, when have such a tight tournament styled game any confusion would mess it up.
@Terroreyes-j8l6 жыл бұрын
And that they stream official PP sponsored tournaments. If you call any 40k event GW sponsored see how fast GW backtracks from that. There are legal reasons.
@TheDeliciousMystery6 жыл бұрын
Dead where i am, but when stock doesnt exist you can't really expect a game to grow let alone stay popular when 'out of stock' is the end of the new player experience.
@MoreThanDice6 жыл бұрын

Really enjoyed the flow of the game.. skilled storytelling 👍👍 One question, whats the time frame your story is set in??
@MoreThanDice6 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I try to make it fun. The current time line is 200 years past episode 9 so we stay far away from everything. Here was the starting info: The One Order has been destroyed the remnants of the storm troopers have been drafted into the New Galactic Republic army. The New Jedi Order has been established and remained strong. The New Jedi Order are now a force of guardians, sages and peacekeepers. The New Jedi Order are vast and numerous providing the Galaxy with the peace it deserves. The New Galactic Republic has established its self as the reigning and forceable power respected among the Galaxy. As peace has been, then so has war.....

3x3 for smaller games and 6x3 for larger game size.

I think there might be a mistake here: I believe suppression for squads is not their raw courage value, it's their courage values TIMES the number of units left, correct? Really bad things happen when a unit gets things like double their suppression value, which would happen in 2 attacks to a squad if they only have 1 courage.

Cool show guys, I really like the discussion about getting into a game. I think the most important part is whether you have someone to play with but you have already mentioned it. It's also cool if you can go, check the game out, find out if you prefer skirmish type games or rather bigger ones like Warmachine.
@MoreThanDice7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It's always a pain when no one will play a game you love, kinda was our obvious point but don't ever let it stop you from trying to get others into a game.
