In theory, DinoLand U.S.A. should've been a great addition to Animal Kingdom. The problem with it in the end was that it wasn't immersive enough to convince guests that they were back in the cretaceous period that dinosaurs existed in. This is kind of an embarrassment for Disney because of how nearby Universal was able to create an even more immersive dinosaur area with Jurassic Park at Universal's Islands of Adventure.

Some very valid points. The land lacks a cohesive design. I really think the Tropical Americas Land will feel much more immerse and fit better into Animal Kingdom.

It is all just memories now the District has been hit with a catastrophic flood and the District in Ashville is gone they have lost at least 30 people, and many are missing 😢NC ❤️

I don't know how I feel about them taking this out. For one thing, it will feel weird not looking to the right of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and not seeing this island right next to it, as well as it not being the first thing your eyes look at as you exit The Haunted Mansion. On the other hand, I only went over there once in 2006, haven't had reason to return since, and probably wouldn't be in a hurry to go over there anyways.

It clearly adds a view to the park. But I think you got it right, the island and riverboat just don’t draw the crowds and the space could be put to better use.

@@OrlandoExperience it’s close, but the emphasized syllable and rhythm is a little different. Kunstarbeit (literally means artworks) is pronounced “KUNST-are-BITE”, and Kristall is like “Chris-STALL” (crystal in English). At least that’s the best way I can describe it.

I was just watching videos of this yesterday morning and people were talking about how they were glad busch gardens has maintained this ride and kept it open. I'm going to be very sad to see it go. Its a great thrill and a nice step into larger coasters for first timers.

@@OrlandoExperience I've got to assume it's going to be a giga coaster, or possibly even a ride similar to Kinda Ka if the city approves the heights. The spot for scorpion could serve as a new loading area (probably partially elevated like Sheikra/Iron Gwazi are to allow for a longer line), and the area alongside Stanley Falls, as well as the old Jungala area, the water holding area for Congo River Rapids, and the retention ponds in the rear could serve as a large enough area for these kinda of rides. I'm sure they'll push the limits with this new ride since it's been a while since we've gotten a record breaker at BGT.
