Important note for the movink you have to make sure your usb c supports video output or you wont be able to see anything on the movink screen.

I love my Movink. It’s basically a super thin and portable Cintiq Pro with very nice oled screen. I recommend buying its sleeve for additional protection.

I love this new direction from Wacom, and the price point is not too crazy. But my M series Macbook has a 120hz screen refresh rate, and can also run an external 4k monitor at 120hz. So I don't really understand why the Movink is limited to 60hz considering its powered by my laptop..its odd choice from Wacom considering where display tech is right now

I’m using a mini Mac with an m2 chip as my music server. I have it connected with hdmi to my maranta and I’m happy sounds super with Roon and tidal as my music streaming service. If I connect a dac in between the receiver and the Mac with usb for audio will I be able to use the hdmi only for video and connected to my marantz or how can hook it up?

Get 36gb ram if you like to work on multiple creative applications simultaneously. I had 18 gb config but the memory pressure was constantly high when using adobe LR and adobe PR simultaneously. LR even lagged.

I just want to say true, it’s not good video, may be it’s ok thing but after you video I feel I don’t want buy this one, sorry, but I think saying truth it’s more important in field of human production then just like each other for fake popularity, and also you drawings very bad, better you first try to improve you skills and after try to use professional tools, but as I write, after you this product not professional any more, Wacom now-amateur cheap firm for house wife’s . Also I know probably you will delete my comment or not pay attention this not matter, matter true . I really wish to artist best experience and not professionals in this field like woman’s bad for product, so sad, but I think I wait 34 years for good drawing tab and not going wait any more, same as I wait 5 years almost for geotag virtual pen and it also probably going to be not from Wacom, thank you Wacom team, I was try to support you buying you product in time no one trust you, and any way it’s not enough for that you done for me, but any way so long time and writing truth you not make no one good product. Thank you for the review. However, besides the nice design, I believe that the product is too expensive for the average artist. This pricing strategy may lead digital artists to switch to competitors like XP-Pen and Huion. These companies offer a 16K pressure sensitivity, 24" 4K pro display with 99% P3 color accuracy for less than 1.000-1.500 EUR. There is no real reason for artists to purchase a 17" display for around 3.000 EUR/USD when they can get a better deal elsewhere.

I would even understand 17" for 1.500 EUR because it is a Wacom Cintiq Pro. But 3.000, is another level even for pro artists.

Note that some computers won’t allow for 4K@120hz through USB-C. Unfortunately Apples. Since they have blocked this function to get people to spend more money on a model with HDMI 2.1 (and hence that supports 120hz). So you will have to use individual cables for HDMI, USB, and Power, to get 120hz to work.

I have a gaming laptop that only has 1080p and 144hz. will I still be able to get 4k 120hz if I hook the wacom up to it? or does my PC need to have 4k as well?

@@jaredf2241 That depends on if you have HDMI, Display-ports, or USB-C ports that can provide 4K@120hz. Plus what the CPU/GPU can manage. Likely 4K won’t be an issue if the laptop isn’t too old. But 120hz may. Relatively to the price of a 120hz Wacom, a PC that can provide you with 4K@120hz is rather affordable. Besides the Mac’s perhaps, where only the more expensive Pro’s allows for it, and then unfortunately only can get that by hooking ip the Wacom with three cables instead of one. I enjoy Apples stuff, although expensive. But in this case they should have payed more attention to those who use pen displays other than the iPad. When you want to at least be able to zoom and scroll using your fingers, MacOS is horrible even for that. And other pen display manufacturers even turn touch off when hooked up to Macs.

back in the last generation , many artist said the 27 inch is sweet spot, in the studio usually they have the 24 inch minimal, I have 16 and 13 inch for home use, and when working on big pieces I need to always zoom in and zoom out, it starting to get a bit annoying after 4 years. I think whatever you can afford that would be fine for your friend!

@@learningforever1882 i recently bought 27 pro, and 120hz I thought only marketing but it's turn out making drawing really feel snappy, if you use ipad before probably the new cintiq feel a bit blurry a bit, as the coating anti glare making it bit blurry but generally same or sharper to my old cintiq probably because higher resolution at 4k compare to 1080p before, the pro pen 3 is small and light and you can customize from size, shape, button and weight, definitely improvement from pro pen 2, I haven't try the new 22 but the old one probably need tiny bit bigger what I feel, 27 pro probably the best option, cause there no 32 for now, but I need to resize my scalling for icon to 150% because I feel in 27 it's to small at 4k, probably why they exist 32 pro back then, if you want to ask about anything, I gladly answer, cheers!

I have an M2 Ultra Mac Pro. Cuts through everything like butter. Animation and renders are quicker than anything I have used. Even more noticeable than when I used the original Mac Pro.

Great review, but one thing I can't find anywhere is a guide for the different color settings. In HP Display Center (or OSD) I can choose one of three "calibrated" options or one of 5 "Traditional" options. What are your recommendations? I mainly use this for office work (writing, reading, browsing) and watching HD TV recordings. No idea which options are best. Thanks.

Bought some M2 Max's with 92Gb of RAM a month ago and theyre great, but its still not enough for our After Effects/C4D workflow. Just ordered two more M2 Ultras instead with 128Gb. I'll have a go at the Blender render test and find out how well they pit against each other!
