About the music which is very carefully chosen for this video: Dragan Dautovski was born in 1957 in the village of Rusinovo, Berovo, Macedonia. He is a musicological expert who masterfully plays more than 20 folk instruments. Only Dautovski also plays the unique terracotta spherical flute - ocarina, which dates back to the Neolithic period and whose age is estimated at over 6000 years, and was found in 1989 at the archaeological site "Mramor" near the settlement of Chaska near Veles. The flute originally has three tones that are obtained from three holes placed in the form of a triangle, and Dautovski managed to play as many as 16 tones on it. After writing the music for the film "Before the Rain", in 1995 he founded the group "DD Synthesis", whose basic idea was to study Macedonian musical folklore and folklore wealth. Dragan Dautovski is the author of numerous albums and works for instrumental ensembles and vocal soloists, groups and orchestras, which include folk Macedonian instruments. This musician was also recognized by UNESCO in 2007. He held a large number of concerts and with performances at music festivals all over the world he promoted the Macedonian authentic, traditional ethnic sound. Subtle artistic creativity springs from his varied repertoire, especially when his virtuoso musicianship on the small ball flute reaches a kind of perfection and, expressing the unspeakable, awakens the sensibility of ancient times.
