We have to wear these at work too. No one can keep them on for very long. they just fall off.
@procrastinator6902 Жыл бұрын
Maybe you're wearing them without enough slack between the earpiece and the mic? I work in a physically demanding job and most ppl with radios there use the HKLN4606 shoulder mic radio, but I prefer this bc it isn't something heavy attached to my shirt and can hear it better when I'm doing something loud in an already loud environment. But I have no issues with it falling out of my ear or anything like that.

Headsets are far better for restaurant work. If you own a restaurant, buy the brand used by your favorite fast food chain
@lukemeissner1741 Жыл бұрын
The headsets we had at Culver's were awful. Microphones were easily overloaded by loud noises, so sometimes loud diesel trucks would have to order at the window because the mic would stop working. Extremely poor audio quality too, I can't remember what brand though. I got minor hearing loss in my right ear from using that headset.
@twowayradiocenter Жыл бұрын
Hi Mike, thanks for the feedback. You're right, most restaurant workers prefer to use headsets with their radios to reduce extra noise in the restaurant. We do offer compatible headsets with all of our two way radios at TwoWayRadioCenter.com.

Question I have a rdm2070d but I’m waiting on my antenna for it how do u replace it once I get it
@red29653 жыл бұрын
Well those type of antennas are glued in you have to take the two screws out of the bottom of the radio and you're going to have a hell of a time getting it in there the antenna is supposed to be non-replaceable which means it's just a shield around a wire and if that wire is broke then you'll have to re-soldier it to the board hope this answers your question quick enough I'm just now seeing it

Hello, which microphone is most compatible with the DTR700? We purchased about ten DTR700's at work but the mics aren't working very well, the mic volume is too low. We work in a loud environment and these radios nice but you can't hear them when you're wearing them on your pants and not using a mic, too much distance from your belt loop or pockets to your ear... It could be that we're using the old microphones from our old radios and that some of the microphones are broken, not sure.. I want to order a new mic to test and if it works good, we'll probably order a bunch more. Just need your recommendation on which mic works best with the DTR700. Thanks.
@Elfnetdesigns5 жыл бұрын
Yeah I dont like these because they technically violate the FCC part 90 rules by allowing an end user to freely change set channel data which means you can wander onto a frequency you have no license for.. Users should be aware that by changing frequency you could be violating the rules and permissions of your radio license, so make sure you are allowed to change before you do change and it is ALWAYS good to know what frequency you are on and changing to... get a frequency chart for your exact radio off the internet or from the radio shop or person who set up your radios.. Also those of you who have a VHF version you bought off ebay and do not work anyplce. it is not a good idea to use the radio to harass Walmart employees with it.. They can get the police involved and legally steal your radio claiming it is theres because it looks like the rest of theres and is on their channel, etc. It has happened before and you will get hung with a felony theft charge and they get a free radio. They have the money and power to sway the law, you do not. So unless you have a legitimate use or license to legally use a radio (business owner, GMRS, Ham radio), please dont buy radios like this just because they have moar powah!.. Cell phones exist for people to goof off on.. These are good for GMRS and MURS though but not so much as business band radios. I reccomend something like the CP200 / CP200D or PR400 handhelds for actual business use tho. Even cheaper TYT Md380 or 390's are perfect as well and you still have the DMR option on radios that are well built for under $ 100 USD.

In customer programming, is there a way to turn off TX/RX acknowledgement tones. Is way too loud and no good for a quiet job environment. Also where can I find a programming cable and CPS S/W? The cables I see are USB, the 2020 does not have a USB port. I'm thinking one or 2 prong from radio to USB link to laptop. Thanks!!! :-)
