I’m still experimenting with what’s my favorite but size 2 (sport) or 3 (worsted) weights have been the best for me with my fabric. Thank you for opening up, I'm sure that was not easy! My son was born in the summer of 2022. I had major postpartum anxiety. I was diagnosed with GAD when I was in high school, I thought I had better control over it as the years went by and I got off my medication. However, once he was born (I was 32 by then) that anxiety all came back tenfold. Really glad you are doing this series! There are so many of us who find comfort in knowing we are not alone. I use loops and threads mostly from Michael’s. They have a great color range. I’m always looking to try other yarns though. The key is the size of the yarn. Any thing that is DK (size 3/light worsted) or Sport weight (size 2) works best from my experience in the needle that comes installed. Not sure what size needle that is. Between that it’s all personal preference and test different yarn types to see what you like best 😊💟

Hey, video was entertaining to watch! thanks- what do you think it's a good size for Canva where you are designing the magnetic bookmarks?
@AshNicholeCo2 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching!! 💟 In Canva, I just fill the page with my design but when saving it to export I make sure it’s at 300dpi to ensure it’s clear and the best quality (I show this in the video). Then when I go into silhouette studio for my cutting machine, I size them to my preference. It’s totally up to you how big or small you want your bookmarks to be in a book, so experiment until you find what works for you!
@Mariee11062 ай бұрын
@@AshNicholeCoyes I noticed, I try to remember to increase the DPI😅 I was wondering because I know Emily uses a certain size to start designing hers to make sure bookmarks are relatively the same size. I haven’t tried in Canva I might have to check it out🤞🏽
@AshNicholeCo2 ай бұрын
@@Mariee1106 I’m not super precise with my designs, although I probably should be lol 😂. It changes based on the design itself and how I want it to look, but I just got back and look at the cut files of my previous designs to get a rough idea of the size I need.

I know you said that you Canva for a lot of your designing, and I was wondering if that is also where you purchase your image rights? I’m nervous about using images I find online, even the ones I can purchase. Unfortunately, I struggle to draw a straight line lol
@AshNicholeCo2 ай бұрын
I purchase all of the designs themselves off of Etsy and ensure that those designs are commercial use, no license required, and with no cap for physical products. Each seller/artist is different with what they allow for their designs so just look at the listing and the descriptions carefully to ensure you don’t have to purchase a separate license. For Canva, their commercial use policy allows for elements to be used as long as they are not the main design themselves. They need to be combined with other elements, text, or images so that they are not the feature. The commercial use policy is very straightforward and clear so if you are ever nervous give it a read. You shouldn’t have any concern unless you are just using found images that don’t provide permission for commercial use. As long as you do a little research into the design and have the permission of the artist, you’ll be good 😊 💟 Also, I’m the same. Stabilization on procreate brushes saves my life because I have no drawing skills whatsoever lol 😂

Hi my twin friend!!! Yay we get a longer vlog today!!! <3 My husband and I also alternate parental responsibility days LOL except it is only in the evenings. So my hubby Ben gets Monday, Wednesday, & Friday evenings to himself so he can focus on things while I get the other evenings. During the day we're at work so we only do evenings. And on weekends we're always running errands with our son or visiting relatives. I also used to go to the library a lot when I was in high school. I'm 34 now and haven't read like that since then. I want to get back to reading, but I think I'm more interested in Manga than regular books lol. Also I love your bookmarks!!! I love the cute messages haha.

Thank you twin friend!! 💟 Omg having parental responsibility free days is a must! We both work from home full time so we just alternate during the day with our son to accommodate work and what we each want to do. I’m glad you all make time for that too. Of course! 💟 And you don’t need a cutting machine to get started! I used to hand cut everything before my machine. I would just keep the shapes of my bookmarks and stickers simple so that it wasn’t too awkward to cut out. Then you can eventually work up to that big purchase. You’ll get there!!
