Thank you for a great short review about the B753, just one comment, there are 3 operators of the 753 in Europe, not 2. The 3rd one is the Ukrainian airline Skyline ( ex Azur Air Ukraine ).

I made 2 flights on them under the Southwest airlines banner and I actually found them quite comfortable, at least I could get out of my seat unlike more modern aircraft where the leg room is minimal. The seat was surprisingly comfortable too and toilets were adequate. This was in the day before seatback entertainment and a screen came out of the roof to show movies on. I wish I could say the service on board was good but I cannot.

I was a frequent worldwide traveler in the late 1970's. I always enjoyed flying on DC-10's and 747's. I almost died on AA191 on May 25th, 1979, going from O'Hare to LAX to spend my vacation with my parents and brother. I changed my mind and decided not to board ANY aircraft that day while awaiting the cab to the airport. I was taking Eastern from Albany to Chicago, then AA191 to LAX. Somebody on Standby boarded the DC-10 after I failed to show up. The unlucky person perished. It was Memorial Day weekend and the plane was full. 273 people perished that afternoon. The very next day I flew on 2 DC-10's and a DC-9 to get to my assignment in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and didn't have a bit of fear of flying.

What a story, and how lucky to miss that terrible tragedy (but so sad for those who perished on the flight).

My first flight on a DC-10 was on United Airlines Flight 225 from Chicago to San Diego. I'd gotten out of US Navy boot camp at Great Lakes NTC/RTC, which is north of Chicago. It was mid October, and it was already cold in the Chicago area; there were snow flurries at O'Hare that day as we were taxiing to the runway. I was stoked, because, after the captain told us the weather we saw outside the windows, he mentioned that San Diego was checking in at a sunny 74 degrees at takeoff. I was like YES! I can't believe that was over 40 years ago now-wow...

We, as a family, have always loved to travel and holiday with Malaysia 🇲🇾 whenever it has the connection. Always first recourse first choice. Very homely feel in every travel. Best wishes, Malaysia Airlines

How do you get from the airport too the museum?
@airportspotting6 ай бұрын
The easiest way is in a taxi. If you're staying at the Renaissance Concourse you can take the shuttle bus, then walk 5 mins the museum.

Fairy tails about "Ukrainian aviation"? Read about biography of Antonov, idiots... And try to translate "Чебурашка" - it's a Russian nickname especially for this bird. On the North Pole this airplane is excellent. 👍

I love the concept of this aircraft. It was built stronger, and it is embarked with an easier fetch capability due the main wing positioning that also assist with the air intake propablity being at a low possiblity of debri intake. I would Love to see the amphibious Model to this series. The Engineers did an excellent Job and I would like to congratulate them with high remarks on a noted item. However? I would like a fuselage emergency parachute deployment system to be installed on this craft for engine failure and non experience emergency pilotts for unplanned ordeals." 👍

Wow the perspective on takeoff and landing filming way back from the windows looks soooo fast. On landing it looks like you’re almost out of control and then the plane dips a little and boom u land! Great work. I sure loved the Tristars.

GoPro Hero 6 I think. Can't remember the settings, sorry! But was just standard Timelapse option in the menu.

I was at Duxford when the Monarch Britannia flew in. My brother in law was working for Monarch at the time. They sold it to Duxford for £1. It flew from Luton to Duxford with wheels down, as they couldn't be retracted.

I live in Jersey but have an aviation background having completed an aircraft technician apprenticeship with HSA at Hatfield between 1970 & 1977. It is sad to see dH Heron G-AORG sat at Jersey airport effectively rotting away. I would love to see the aircraft become part of Duxfords British Airliner fleet.
