Using this analogy, I would be the bride that was raised to be with the groom. Not to say I make a great wife, but I was born and raised in the church knowing who Jesus is and what he means and what it takes to have a life with him. Again, I am a terrible wife, but I am ride or die.

“How many of us trust in our savings accounts more than our Saviour?” After all the experiences I’ve had, my first thought when I see someone losing sources of earthly strength like money, health, social status etc… God’s chasing them down.

Very powerful and visceral analysis of this story. Only thing I would add is that during the Roman period they “reclined at table” which meant laying sideways on a sofa with everyone’s heads pointing towards a table in the middle and their feet sticking out the other side. Makes way more sense when you have that visual

I agree science can't call it wrong, but by that same basis the Bible is full of subjective interpretations that leads to opinions so can't call it wrong. We need a standard to judge right from wrong. Harm can be objective as it is quantifiable and thus objective.

God's sovereignty shows. He will bless who he wants to bless regardless of their inequities. God can never be manipulated. However as Abraham mature's in his Faith and so do his ways, through the altars he builds. We all have a piece of Abraham in us. Thanks the brilliant message.

Thank you for giving yourself as an example; yes, "we" (but) me; I need to "see" IT IS JESUS, step aside; with joy, He gets THE GLORY ! not me!!! (as they did when JESUS rode the donkey, they stepped aside; praised HIM!) I am learning !

It seems that the story of the Egyptians famine and disaster in Jewish text was an unexpected storm and flooding which destroyed their food source perhaps for the lack of planning and water system/channels to extend the farming inland and safe from flooding. Moses took the metallic (copper) assets and objects of the Egyptians and left Egypt to trade those for food/wheat, but he never returned.

Praise God for never turning a blind eyes to our needs! I therefore bind to hell every lack of desire to care for others while binding one to desire to care for others in my life, the lives of my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquitances, opponents, the children I teach and the body of Christ, binding to hell every unequal yoke and common share with anyone lacking to desire to care for others, in accordance with this word and 1 john 3:17-18, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah, glory to God ❤!
