Thank you so much for posting this video! I'm about to start on my own pond, and the style will be similar to this. One things I have been researching is how do you attach the coping stones to the pond liner? It looks like on one side the liner covers only half the top surface of the blockwork... so I guess you just applied cement over the liner and exposed parts of the stone and then lay the coping on top to hold everything together?

Hi! I'm glad you have found it useful. Yeah we tried to cover the actual holes in the blocks as much as possible with the liner to stop any overflow water going down inside the blocks but still leave enough of the block surface to form a good surface for the mortar to attach to. And yes the mortar went on top of both the liner and the blocks. The overflow pipe seems to have worked though so water going down into the blocks doesn't seem like it would be an issue at all anyway. 😊

@@junglealltheway6342 Thank you so much for taking the time to reply - I really appreciate it! This may be the only time in my life when I build a pond (it's for my new family home, which we plan to spend decades in), so I'd like to get it right first time! Thank you and enjoy summer when it arrives!
