what is the function of the front slider with the spring? is that a primer just going for the ride or something else?
@djsportsreloading13 күн бұрын
@@juandough6501 it doubles as a primer insert, otherwise it’s just used to position brass in the proper way 🫡

The argument against tumbling completed cartridges is that you'll change the size/shape of the powder granules (maybe even make some "dust"). There is lots of science that dictates how the powder burns and it would seem logical that the size and shape of the kernals would be part of that. I too have heard that some manufacturers tumble completed cartridges but that info didn't come from an ammo manufacturer. Being skeptical of what you read/view on the internet is a healthy thing. For certain though, you've put yourself in a minority group by advocating this. I too like shiny ammo but I think I'll continue to do all my polishing before final assembly.

Whats the point of the tumbling? Does it help remove powder residue?
@djsportsreloading8 ай бұрын
it helps remove burnt powder, removes debris if it falls at and outdoor range. Removes dirt or greases from indoor range floors. removes and cleans and grease from fingers and hands. Also and most importantly, it cleans all this and protects your reloading dies when you go to reload the cases 🫡🇺🇸
