I wished I watched your video before I started my job. Removing the vacuum hoses was difficult. I managed to break the small wire retainer clip on the top right. Now I have all the hoses and wires disconnected. All the 6 top long bolts loosen. I am trying to lift the intake manifold and it doesn't move at all. Besides the 6 bolts, are there any hidden bolt(s) to remove?

@@TheSantyFamily ideally you want to find a fuse that is off when the car is off to avoid the camera being on all of the time and possibly draining the battery. Be sure to use a tester with the car off to find one that is not hot while the car is off 👍

I have a 17 Savannah box truck that has that same engine in it. My temperature gauge is sporadic and even then it doesn't get up to full temperature. I've replaced the temp sending unit with an aftermarket one and it pretty much does the same thing. Before I complete my drive during my work day the thermostat just stays at 100. In the first part of the day it does at least get up to 160 or 170°. At first I kind of thought it was a thermostat issue but I haven't changed it yet. What do you think?
@AmundredАй бұрын
Does the heater blow out warm/hot air when you have it up to temp? Coolant full? If it does blow out warm/hot air it might be a sensor issue somewhere. If it is NOT blowing out warm/hot air, I would lean towards the thermostat. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching and commenting!
@vh8765Ай бұрын
@ Thanks for the reply! The heater works good. But I don't think the engine is getting up to temperature. It's running fine though. If the thermostat was stuck open wouldn't it over cool the engine all the time? It gets warmer at 70 miles an hour on the highway than it does city driving. Waiting for a little break in the weather and I'll change that thermostat. It's on the lower hose but it still seems easy enough. Again, thanks for the reply !!
