Yes, there could be some debris. You could pull 5he cover and move the front section off the board. Examine the contacts. If it is still giving you those codes, look for damage, remove and reseat all connections. After that, try a calibration. If you're still hitting those errors, you'll have to find a repair company

There’s no way I’m buying an $800 kit to calibrate my old machine. That price kills me. Wish I could rent it. I’ve got my 2540ea apart on my center island in my,kitchen as I type this. Took apart all 4 solenoids and ultrasonic cleaned the plungers, hoping for the best. I’ve got a high temp fault. The machine doesn’t get to 30psi of pressure. Gets up to about 24 or 25 psi when it hits 273 degrees and then faults at either 274 or 275 or a few minutes with no more pressure increase. I was hoping it was the air jet. I replaced it, and the rpi part I got was spitting water worse than my original. So I’m waiting for a second one. I’m afraid it’s the temperature sensor, but the service manual didn’t include any ohm readings to test the sensor. Any ideas? I’ve fixed just about every part on this 20 plus year old machine and hate to trash it. It’s got the Adjunct 3 board. Thanks for making this video. Not too many out there. 😊
@The_BiomedАй бұрын
1st step would be to determine if the readings are accurate bc that temp and pressure are not inline with each other. If the temp is accurate then you either have a pressure leak or need a calibration. That's where I would go 1st. Verify and calibrate
@Samlol23_drrichАй бұрын
@ thanks very much for getting back to me. I was thinking the air jet was leaking, not allowing it to build pressure. My problem is that I don’t have the tools to properly test the pressure and temperature. (And that means I can’t properly diagnose the machine). if the air jet isn’t the issue I will have to trash the machine. It gets to the point of not being worth the cost of repair. What a shame. Thanks again.
@The_BiomedАй бұрын
@Samlol23_drrich the air jet is supposed to leak. It's how the steam circulates in the chamber. But the safety release valve shouldnt...if you overfill the rez so the safety release is half covered, you'll be able to see if it's leaking, same for the air outlet valve. There's probably a biomed company near you with a test kit than can trouble shoot it for you
@Samlol23_drrichАй бұрын
@ truly appreciate all of your expertise. The reason plumbers and electricians are required to do apprenticeships is for exactly what I learned from your reply. Would have never thought to test the safety release for leaks by overfilling the reservoir. (Maybe that’s what my staff is doing every friggin time they fill it). Something I did fixed it. Even though I bought a new air jet, after I installed it the machine had the same symptoms, and the new jet was leaking much more than I thought it should. I know the machine like the back of my hand. How much steam comes out of that jet and the new one just didn’t look right. I ordered a second new one but figured I would replace the entire relief valve assembly, so I bought the entire thing. As I said in the prior post, while waiting for the 2nd day delivery, I brought the machine home and took it apart just in case there was a leak from one of the solenoids. I took all four apart, cleaned the copper seats and ran a carb cleaner brush through all the orafices, then pulled the temp sensor and cleaned it (gently), pulled every wiring harness and sprayed contact cleaner on both ends then put it all back together this morning with the new part that was delivered late yesterday. Just ran a cycle and it worked perfectly. So something I did fixed it. Once again, thanks for getting back to me and sharing your expertise. It’s something most won’t do (see my video on the lack of support from Hayward when my pool heater had an issue. Once they found out I was a consumer they wouldn’t help me). Thanks again! Rich in NY

So, the hose set up for two ports connecting to 1 pressure meter and the proper pressure meter is all that is needed for the calibration. Is this all that you do for the pm procedure, or do you also perform a leak test? I heard you speak to the battery check.
@The_Biomed3 ай бұрын
so the entire pm procedure starts with the normal visual inspection, 1: look for any damage, 2: do electrical safety tests(leakage is really a waste of time), 3: check the calibration, calibrate if necessary. 4: leak test( attach a large cuff, set the pressure to 475mmHg, place it into standby; Press the ON/STANDBY button until the alarm message “CUFF” “NOT” “DEFL” appears. Release the ON/STANDBY button and within 5 seconds of the alarm discontinuing, press and hold the ON/STANDBY button again. The button must be held in for an additional 10 seconds before the unit will be set to STANDBY. wait 10 minutes, then turn it back on then press alarm silence and next press Pressure. the display should read 400mmHg minimum. I don't think you can do 2 at once, but i could be wrong. I'll test this out next time an ATS 3000 comes by my bench. 5: pull the battery, pull battery cables, check battery voltage(12v minimum) plug the unit in and check battery voltage while attached, should be higher than 12 volts. that's it

I've got some open repair estimates running $500 up to $3000. the higher ones usually just result in a replacement quote. Lack of proper maintenance can result in a hefty charge. just following the user manual instructions saves a lot of money. having an annual service contract also means we find your issues before you suddenly find out you are without a working device right when you need it = cancelled cases = $$???

LOW HEAT Error? I'm working on an EZ10 that keeps failing with LOW HEAT. The Air Outlet Valve seems fine, but the Safety Relief Valve has a noticeable leak at the ports. So, I took it apart with two 3/4" wrenches. It doesn't look as bad as yours in the video, but certainly not in top condition. I'm replacing it tomorrow and hopefully that resolves my issue. I cleaned after disassembly and ran a test cycle for experimental purposes, and it actually performed a little better. Reached pressure and temp much quicker, but still failed with a LOW HEAT Error. Next will be the Air Outlet Valve which has extremely tiny damages on seat of the valve base.
