Me going to Paris : -Get out of the airport. Was a bit complicated but I am here. People are exchanging weird plastic bags outside. They shout at me when i look at them for too long. must be a coincidence. -Morning : I still have time before I go to my hotel. I decide to immediately go for the eiffel tower. I go to the "metro". Why is this person using this wall as a toilet ? They must have been really out of options. I finally manage to find my subway train. Go inside. Full of people. Some of them blast their music out loud. Quite annoying but it's ok. It really stinks. They mustn't have the time to clean this place everyday because of how much people there is. -I arrive decently near to Tower. I walk my way there. Lots of people selling stuff around there. I decide to take a picture. I pull my phone... Out ? Wait, where is my phone ? It was in my pocket. It's gone. How am I going to contact the hotel?? Some people start talking to me. I try to make my french work. They ask me to play games for money. I refuse : I am not really into that. After that a guy runs into me : he got a petition to sign for deaf people and I can help by giving them money. The paper on which I can see multiple signatures looks really fake. -I decide to walk my way off. I hear screams. There is a demonstration going on. It is really violent. The police has to intervene. They release tearing gas. I get some of it. It really hurts. - managed to find a small calm street "Hé madame, t'es bonne !" what ? A small group of youngsters approaches me. I manage to run away. -Arrived at the hotel. I bought a new phone on my way. 1539€ each night. It is expansive but I have been sparing money for some years, now. I didn't want to give up on my dream. I read the news just in case : some people got stabbed not so far by and quite a bunch of people were harmed in the demonstration, earlier. Yikes, should not worry over that. All jokes aside, this is how Paris is becoming. News pop so often about violence, as well as people witnessing how they get robbed in the subways, and basically everywhere. The whole city is becoming a poohole. It is actually terrible. Demonstrations all the way, it is really dirty, the french culture is slowly disappearing behind all of that. It is good to see that Paris carries so much in the heart of some foreigners. If you go to Paris, please, be really careful. You have to adopt the thought that you might get robbed EVERYWHERE you go. And this is why you have to be careful anywhere. If you are a woman, just imagine you are in Pakistan : it can be really dangerous at night so never walk alone. Or as least as possible. Also avoid the Seine. Cleaning plans have been taking place, but they are clearly no enough : The Seine is still one of the most polluted water way in the world. Sewage water is still being dumped in it. As long as you don't touch the water, you're fine.

Still here in 2024 listening to this album again. It reminds me of a time where i got over hardship and moved forward. And maybe found love. And it cozy enough to hekp me keep moving forward.

I remember four years ago when I first found this song. Listening to it now feels like I'm listening alongside the same emotionally awkward kid that found it. I'm sure he'd be happy to know we're now a slightly less awkward adult. Thank you for the little bit of nostalgia this gave me.
