Nice video! Just Googled that Corregidor came from the word corregimiento or mayor/ military chief. The corregimiento of Bataan (eventually of Mariveles) used to hold office there, but the office was eventually dissolved. It came under the control of the Spanish forces based in Cavite.

Do a proper research on whatever topic or place you are posting as your content. Do not mouth off things you do not really have knowledge of, be conscious and responsible in whatever you might say here in the Net. "Nakakatawa nga pinag agawan pa ng Bataan at Cavite..." Really?! Now where the hell did you learn that from?? Corregidor has always been a part of the Cavite province. It had a community called Barrio San Jose that used the Postal code for the province, everyone born in the island is a "Caviteño". Corregidor is the biggest of a group of islands that is part of the Cavite province because while the biggest island might seem to be nearer to the Bataan Peninsula, the smallest islands of the group are nearest to Cavite. Corregidor is not in the "Middle" of Manila bay but rather, at it's "mouth" straddling the bay's entryway . It's for this reason that the Spaniards put up a Lighthouse on the biggest island and established it as their Custom station where they stopped and checked all Vessels coming into Manila Bay, hence the name "Corregidor" , from the Spanish "Corregir" , meaning to check. These are but rudimentary facts about the island easily "Googled" in this day and age . You had been interested in the Island from since your grade school days so you say yet you haven't even the most basic knowledge about it. It would serve you well to learn about, research and study on your topics of interest.
