I filed a report and provided a name, address and vin histories. To the FTC, NHTSA, NMVTIS, DOJ, DMV and DCA. They all said to contact DMV. The DMV receives a title with 277,xxx then months later the a title for the same vehicle now reads 128,xxx and they don’t do anything. The seller turns in title transfers with high miles then after he sells then receives a title transfer from the new owner with lower miles and the DMV still allows it. So what use is it going to do to report a crime to the same agency that allows it? Nothing happens to people who commit odometer fraud and title of transfer fraud, thats why it’s everywhere and has cost a billion dollars.
