Covercraft is place to look at - I just checked and they do custom dash covers. This car was a Turo rental so I’m not sure where this specific cover is from

If that is ocean blue metallic, this is the twin of my first Boxster. Had two since, another 986 and now a 981. I prefer uphill myself, but nice video.

It’s Lapis Blue, which I think is a little darker than Ocean Blue, though I may be mistaken. I no longer have this 986, definitely missing that car. Planning a 987 if I can find a clean one

I'm driving to San Diego this Saturday. On my return trip to Phoenix I was planning to go from interstate 8 to Julian on the 79, then head down to Banner on the 78 before returning back to the 8 on sunrise highway through mount Laguna. This route also looks amazing and now I'm debating which way to go. Awesome video!

Thank you! It’s a great route. You could get on Campo Road at Manzanita and drive to La Posta Road. It’s also good, just not as good, and it would give you a taste. From there you can go North been to Hwy 8. I drive Sunrise Hwy fairly often, Campo is more picturesque and lasts for longer

Mounted on the roof of the car, which is good for the view and the surroundings, though there is less is a sense of speed. I used Superview on the GoPro (Hero 11) and Hypersmooth. Without Hypersmooth the camera does not pan in corners but the vibration can be noticeable

BTW I don't trust the suction cup that comes with the GoPro - I use an ULANZI SC-02 suction cup and arm

So little sound coming from the exhaust, I think you need to adjust the volume of your recordings

Agreed. Just purchased a zoom audio recorder to improve that for future videos. This video was using the GoPro mic which isn’t great at all
