thank you! very informative tutorial, much better than the other tutorials i’ve watched. i’m considering buying the verselab as a songwriting scratchpad and it obviously sounds great, but i’m worried about how much menu diving is involved.
@stellarrubio27 күн бұрын
Thanks so much! Hope it helped with your decision? Yes lots of menu diving but once you get used to it it is muscle memory! Nice to be away from a digital screen too :) let me know how you get on!

So u don’t have to sing in key? Do I just select a scale and it locks in?

yes you set the scale (or chords within a scale) you have to be quite close to the notes for the best performance :) Did you see my longer vid on my channel goes in to more detail :)

Great creativity! I love this. As a guitar player I’ve always liked these sounds. You don’t ever here much guitar improvisation in this type genre. Probably more in American 90s hip-hop. So I’m just pondering with ideas whilst listening. Nice work. Thanks for the inspiration and lessons! Oh vocals by the way.
@stellarrubioАй бұрын
Thanks! Yes very true as as guitarist I too rarely add although I did in my last release. ‘A light ‘ it was a bit more downtempo and fits that genre more! What style music do u play/make? Really appreciate the feedback :) thanks re vocals hoping to get a proper take tonight!
@MeanMaoriMean555Ай бұрын
@@stellarrubio Yes so true. Ohh I see you’re a guitarist. Did a great job on backing that vocalist! Awesome. I like styles of music that strikes interests to my ear. I played bass but I’ve spent sooo… much time on practicing guitar, understanding music a bit more closely so I am able to know my options for improvisation/reharmonisation. I think I’ve reached some point. I aim to perform very soon. So now it’s deciding what hardware/software for solo or duo. Maybe collaborate with others. I just love music. I like ole skool stuff. So I love (some of) the early to late 90s RnB,NeoSoul,gospel,Reggae Dance,trance. Love Funk. Love syncopation probably why I’m attracted to Techno based stuff.

Love your work and videos! Would you please gove me advice on what this music is that im am doing as my artist zavacci its a song call farah sun and to me i can only describe it as euphoric upbeat piano music, i use piano and cine strings with a simple 120bpm beat, i love edm but i want to create simular but on an acoustic piano and strings vibe. Your support would be very much appreciated ❤ here is a link to the song kzbin.info/www/bejne/anWQpGqLitRkbcUsi=9Iqh7c4mwyoMSVqb

thanks for the studio tour. For me it is all about control types and I am experimenting with dsp. I've never sold anything but never had anything I would consider of resale value. I am just a hobbiest though. I think a lot can be done with emulation (including chip emulation like the new motorala chip emulators these days so the control surfaces are really about how how you get that sound into the control station or daw. Maybe a keytar type guitar midi device would be a fun toy for you to play with I had some other ideas but I think this is the one closest to what I saw in the video. Something like MIDI GUITAR CONTROLLER BEST SUITED FOR Jamstik Studio Those looking for a ‘real feel’ MIDI guitar controller Jammy All the features of the Jamstik Studio but at a lower price Artiphon Instrument 1 Those looking to experiment beyond just regular ‘guitar music’ Jam Origin MIDI Guitar 2 Those looking for a latency-free software option Fishman Tripleplay Guitarists who want to use their own guitar as the controller Roland GK3 Guitarists who want expressive guitar tones as well as synthetic sounds Guitar Wing Anyone wanting to utilize MIDI as an added effects processor ... My recent moderate cost item was an antelope audio interface for the dsp , my next purchase may be another dsp engine like apollo or fatchannel etc.. not 100% sure yet. I use an old danalog ddx3216 as part of a control patch but a qcon g2 is my main daw controller
