I used to pretend I was a rock star (a male)... the voice I 'sang' to was Alison's. He sang 'Midnight' at the Grammys, 'Ode to Boy'at Live Aid. It was fun to pretend. I knew it wasn't real, of course. Butvit gwve me moments of great joy. Oh, to have her gift! Later, I 'used' David Gahan's voice in my pretend rock star life. Can anyone relate?

But me and my wife keep dancing to your song "Situation" and in the Canadian album "Upstairs at Eric's"... I've been dancing to your music since 1982 and please come to Canada if you can and perform. We understand you are an artist, we keep turning your music so loud that the neighbours are complaining, you've seen so much over the years and your kind of like the female Morrissey, except you have much more talent... We're sitting here in our one room apartment dancing till the cows come home and we just hope you realize you're not the understudy of soul in the UK, you're the best that's come out in 40 years. It's a nice version stripped back but also kind of pointless. They're was nothing wrong with this masterpiece originally. The original is an absolute favourite of mine so this disappointes me sorely. For me the song has lost it's edge a continuing theme on this rather troubling Key journey....

Again this is so painfully hollow and empty sounding vocally. She's sucked all the power and passion out of this song. I do like what's been done production wise but that's about it.

I enjoy the production but her voice sounds so flat and hollow compared to the original 😢
