You need a 3D printer for Christmas! You could probably print a custom belt with flexible TPU plastic... the stuff phone cases are made from. Also the other gadgets could be reproduced... even the panel with clips that broke! I have a snowman I'm just getting into... I bet its the hardened grease in the motor.
@mikecomptech11 күн бұрын
Yes that would be nice 3D printing has come so far it's unreal. You can do almost anything if you can draft up the dimensions. If your snowman motor shows open on a continuity test or when you try to power it up directly then yes it very well could be the old grease in the brushes. Hope you get it fixed. Thank you for your comment.

could you have soldered the wires to the pos and neg pins on the LED strip instead of cutting the wire back?
@mikecomptechАй бұрын
Yes there is B+ 5VDC present there as well SPI data, but I have plans later on on feeding power to something else closer to the top of the bottle. And to get to the connections at the top of the LED strip I would have to remove all the hot glue holding the SPI LED strip in place. Did not want to disturb that. Thanks for the comment.

@@mikecomptech Sounds great looking forward to seeing the rest of the project. I was actually talking about the end of the led strip that goes into the glass. There should be a 5VDC pad you can access after every single LED. Just peel away the plastic coating and solder leads too the terminal.
