@@GermanGamingofficial LBA might very well be the best anti ant colony in the game, perma confusing and reducing physical res is so OP Slavemakers are literally the worst any in the game at level 1, average at level 2, and busted at level 3, so I averaged it out Mortar ants have less dps and are more prone to missing than rapid fire, no reason to use them unless you get level 3, and even then they still have less DPS in single target scenarios, and the splash has damage falloff the farther away enemies are from the splash

Technically you can only beat both beach levels on the challenge mode with mortar, it’s literally impossible with rapid fire ( I tried both) When I found out that little black ant died to, well, everything, never used nor saw them ever again, on the fire ant levels I DESTROYED the little black in colony on challenge mode Slave makers are one of, if not the best at endgame free play, I had counter part colony and only used slave makers and decimated everything in my path with level three slave makers So no I don’t agree with some of your opinions but that’s just how life is, I still respect your opinions (except for rapid fire they suck in my eyes)

@@GermanGamingofficial 2.1 is way harder with mortars than rapid fires, and rapid are genuinely perfect for countering ladybugs in 2.2. also I've seen people beat both beach levels on impossible with challenge mode with both types of shooters, rapid just tends to be overall better. Try using LBA in freeplay or in occupation2 sometime, over half the colony in both of the 4 tier levels are workers, which is just not optimal, so yeah you destory the,, when done properly they are super good Slave makers are really good in endgame because their level 3 is overpowered, but at level 1 they are the worst ant in the game, they literally lose handily to black ants at level 1, despite costing 15 more food

@@meepswag35 I’ve always preferred mortars anyway because they were (technically) the OG shooter and you don’t need to kill the lady bugs you need to stop them it is a little difficult anyway but I just don’t like rapid fire, I kinda have beef with them

@@meepswag35 would not say that SM are the worst ant at level one because they can beat, 2 melee wood ants (100 food) 2 black ants (100 food) 1 trapjaw (90 food) 4 little black ants (96 food) and a leafcutter media (80 food) idk it might be different with you, but that’s what my “tests” say

its really good, and its super fun to watch it demolish high health enemies in battle arena, but its so expensive

After a while, I think army ant majors high a tier/low s tier, they are very expensive and take a while to get going, the most broken ant in the game which I didn’t realize at the time of making this video, was vigorous fire ants

They aren’t accessible besides the ability and in eome, so I can’t factor in the food cost

the problem with stun is that its completely useless against large enemies, while taunt is pretty useful against, and taunt has a good level 3 ability as well. taunt also works against ants well enough, though not as well as stun. I chose to value generalist value over specialist

​​@@meepswag35also just learned thanks to the wiki but it's stats are op ! It does splash damage on EVERY HIT it has 3200 health and more so that's a good reason to build it.

The new update made this level a ton harder, level 3 slavemakers are really really strong, and the crickets attack faster too.

Mortars are good but they have issues, they have less DPS than rapid fire, can miss quite often. And require the level 3 to do the AOE damage.

I’m not the very best at this game but I’m pretty good, it just takes practice and learning certain things, also this was pretty slow

Actually if you are talking about the formicarium upgrade, the mortars get more extra damage per hit from it than rapids to balance this out

@@meepswag35 mortar ants are my fav i know there health is garbage but with the poison there good like good good and slave maker ants... there just tanks(bonus i thought melee wood ants were stronger than workers):)

@@Redantted910 the problem with mortars is that rapids outclass them, rapids rarely miss, and have higher DPS, the only way mortars is better is when they are at level 3 and they can do splash damage. Slavemakers are awful at level 1, below average at level 2, and God tier at level 3, the problem is they are such a large investment to get that level 3.

@@meepswag35 oh cool thanks i was doing a other ant type thing with my colony so i try out the mortar and leafcutter stun and pervasive for challenge 4 and rapid and leafcutter taunt and uhhhhh i forgot the other one🤡

They have an execute which only works on small enemies, and a ram attack that knock backs and stuns enemies

The problem with mortars I forgor to mention is that they have less DPS than rapid fires, along with their other issues, and the way AOE works in the game makes it that enemies farther away from the mortars don’t take the full damage of being hit head on, making them less effective than you think. Also rapids level 3 slow actually slows attack speed as well, so it’s more useful
