I put this video into my watch later playlist, and it took me a while to watch it, but I don't regret watching... I loved seeing the process behind the stop motion animation, and was surprised to find how complex it was, and how you went through the process like a pro. Just imagining myself trying to do the same thing, all without experience, I'd definitely have a hard time! Yet you went beyond and managed to solve all your problems seemingly with patience, and make a beautiful little animation at the end... The magpie was my favorite for how complex and cute it was, the only flaw I see is how underrated this video is, even though the production quality is practically without flaws!

I am in awe of the details you've put into making the tree! I think the leaves/plant life have to be my favorite. I really appreciate that you made the changes you added to the tree when something wasn't working out. It sucks to undo a step, but it'll be worth it in the end artistically and it teaches you what to do different for the next project. Keep up the great work! 🙂

Wow, amazing little film. You made all these things? And Rook, is he a raven?
@studio_wild2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! Yeah, I made everything and the sound and music. Rook's related to ravens, but they're a rook, a kind of bird that likes to stick their beaks in things in Europe (I have soft spot for them)

Absolutely amazing! I came across your film today on Dr Thom Holtz's FB page and I am super stoked to find someone who is both a palaeontologist and an animator! Instant subscribe and I very much look forward to whatever you have planned next. Stop-mo and sci-comm is a match made in heaven.
