Does the jack extend fully under air pressure only? I bought one, but it doesn’t seem to extend more than 3 to 4 inches.

Very Nice! I love the LED strips I guess you call them, as you can conceal them, and then illuminate un-expected spaces. It feels like it adds more space too! As an electrician, I've installed a ton of LED 8mm strip, and so much fun what you can do. Years ago before LED, was the rope light. It was great until some bulbs went out. You've done a great job! I hope you just enjoy this Wanderlodge! Oh there are days I feel I should try and buy one. The pre DEF world is so much better. Also built so well. My project I have a 40 FT but because it was a Red Cross bus, they had a second door back behind the rear axle. Which takes a lot of space with the steps, but I love it. Makes me think if I was looking at getting a Wanderlodge I like the mid-entry. Either way, all the Wanderlodges, and BMC were so well made. I'll take whatever I could get. And what is available in the market is diminishing. What a great project you chose! Enjoy, God bless! AL in CT

Happy News Years! Best to you for the New Year! This project is amazing! I'm learning a lot! I have a 2002 Bluebird, what was a Red Cross blood collection bus-been converting it to a RV, working on since 2016. Many similar things. I ponder just buying a Wanderlodge or BMC, as I'm getting older, and want to retire/explore, seeing you work on this clues me in a bit if I made that decision! The Wanderlodge have been really well thought out and a strong platform. Does yours have Jakebrake, or driveline retarder? Since my bus is FC I have a Telma driveline retarder. We replaced it in 2017. Is a lifesaver on brakes, as I live on hill. Driving in northern PA hills on the hwy was a brake saver. Thanks for sharing! God bless! AL from CT

We’re hoping to be at Q this year. I’ll be very interested in your clear coat solution. My bus needs the same around the roof. For the long extension / breaker bar solution, I use a 10 ton jack stand to rest the extension on, raising and showering for the different lug positions while torquing to 500 ft lbs. It’s not as conveniently portable as what you have made, but hopefully I never have to torque a lug nut while on the road.

The roof was bothering me since I bought it. A beautiful bus with bad hair lol😂 I have also tried the jack stand but it sits too far from the wheels requiring long extensions. The longer the extensions the more flex. This support allows me to get close yp to the wheels. Great you are goi g to "Q"!

Thabks, I am! I have limited time to have the bus inside the shop, so I had to push through and just hit things done. Thankfully, Lou was there to help with the clear coat prep. Saved by a fellow WOG member!

Just be aware the Colorado muzzeloading hunting season dates are Sept 14-22. And archery season is most of the month of September. Union Park and the areas north and south of your site will have hunting activity during your stay. Please be courteous to the hunters and I hope the hunters are courteous too.

I know this was a year ago, but I just had the same happen at a rest stop in Malvern Arkansas in April 2024. Wife was driving, and we decided to switch drivers. As I get in and headed towards the on-ramp I immediately noticed the PS was gone. Quickly shut it dow and checked behind the tag axle on our 91 WB and found what would be a large portion of the hydraulic fluid on the ground. The rest was all over my Jeep, and the back of the bus. All of my big wrenches were at home in Oregon (which will never happen again), so I had to call a mobile mechanic for the first time ever. He was able to remove the hose using a pipe wrench and vice grips (😮). We drove to the local NAPA and had a new one made. Filled up the reservoir, tested, and were on our way. I noticed another was was a bit sketch when checking his work and vowed to replace all of them when we got home. You seem like a rather fastidious guy. I would advise you do the same. My bus only has 90K on it, yet all of the 33 year old hoses were in less than good condition. The cloth wrapped hoses were all quite weak, and the rubber hoses were cracked revealing the inner webbing. Including the one that blew in Arkansas, I have had 7 new hoses made (including the section from the pump to the intersection between it and the run to the steering gear - which I believe is the one that blew on your coach). Im enjoying your channel. We have very similar upgrading experiences. Keep up the good work!

I love watching all your videos… I have a 91 that I’m doing all the same things as you. Fortunately for me I’m a few steps behind you so your videos are an awesome resource!! I saw your interview on nogaswelcomeaboard. Is it possible to get a copy of the wiring diagram that you created. I would be happy to pay a fair price. I have all my batteries, two xantrex 3000watt inverters, solar, dc to dc etc etc. I think I have it all figured out but your wiring diagram would probably be helpful.
@NoGasWelcomeAboard11 ай бұрын
Chris - Wow! That’s complicated & a lot of work compared to what I did 7 years ago… to power my front A/C off the inverter/batteries! Here’s why I say that - In original configuration, the M380 only has a single inverter, and both the front and rear A/Cs run off the Left half of its AC breaker panel. That side is powered ONLY from either Shore OR the generator. Which one of those two is used, is controlled by the Lyght auto transfer box. If off-grid without the generator running, nothing on the left side is powered including the two A/C’s. The Right side of that AC panel receives its power from the bypass circuit inside the Magnum and it automatically selects the source depending on what’s available. To get inverter AC power, obviously it must be turned ON. To power the Front A/C from either shore/gen OR the coach batteries thru the inverter, I simply switched the Front A/C Breaker to the right side of my AC breaker panel. Problem solved with no major rewiring like your setup. I also installed a Micro Air electronic soft start to limit A/C power draw during compressor startup. It all works perfectly even though the original A/C units are power hogs. Again, if Shore or Generator AC is available, the inverter sees that and passes it thru to the panel’s right side. If I want to use the front A/C off my batteries, no problem as long as the other loads are check and reduced if needed. This works best mid-day since the solar can almost simultaneously replace the amps used by the A/C. Would it not have been easier for you (& eliminated most of those relays) if you had used each Magnum’s internal bypass circuit to feed the two A/C’s, one from the #1 inverter and the other from the #2?
