Great video. I noticed in an early video on your channel that you used Bondo for your lead mold. Do you prefer plaster of pairs over it now? What difference have you noticed working with the two options?
@rockfoxdesigns
@rockfoxdesigns Жыл бұрын
Plaster of Paris is much easier to work with but doesn't last very long. Bondo is a pain to get it molded before it hardens too much but once you get a mold done, it'll outlast the plaster usually. I also get a bit cleaner mold out of the plaster since I can vacuum pump the air out of it. This was originally going to be a bondo mold, but the bondo was giving me fits so it became a plaster mold.

I still haven't mustered up the nerve to make a Whopper Plopper. I too concerned about getting the through-wire straight through the center of the lure and the joint cut perfectly square. Maybe some day I'll have courage. Nice job!
@rockfoxdesigns
@rockfoxdesigns Жыл бұрын
This was my second plopper, my first one didn't work so well because I crossed it with a walking dog bait... yeah those don't combine well. Always wanted to swim sideways but never return to center.
@mike1261
@mike1261 Жыл бұрын
@@rockfoxdesigns It seems of all the baits out there, this one is more complex because of the spinning tail. I can balance a multi-piece swimbait, but the Plopper has me hesitant. I know if it doesn't work, just start over and make another 'til it does, so I don't know why I haven't done one yet.

The original Mathew called Gospel of the Hebrews did not have the virgin birth story or 3 wise men and neither did the original Luke. As far as Joseph is concerned he doesn't even speak a word in the gospels supposedly died while Jesus was young so who interviewed him ? No One !. The gospels of Mark, John, James, Peter and letters of Paul mention nothing of the virgin birth. The original Mathew from the 1st century was called the gospel of the Hebrews and as attested by ancient Roman historians it did not have the 3 wise men or any virgin birth story. These Roman historians and scribes also state that the original Luke which was supposedly discovered with the other letters of Paul by a Roman businessman and cult leader named Marcion did not have the virgin birth narrative so who interviewed Joseph and Mary ? if Mary and Joseph would have been interviewed in the 1st century ad with these stories of Holy Father being Mary's husband they both would have been killed by the Jews. It is now evidently clear that these stories at the beginning of Mathew and Luke were added in the 2nd century ad to bring the Messiah Jesus into line with the Empirical Paganism which prevailed at the time which was Babylonian worship of a Queen of Heaven and that the Gods had sex with earthly female virgins. Joseph was killed off quickly in the gospels but used to commence to enforce the false and evil Mary and Joseph narrative to ensure that Roman Babylonian Paganism and Satan worship would never end. Between the 2nd and 4th centuries ad Rome massacred the Nazorenes and Ebionites who held to the scriptures of their original Gospel of the Hebrews ( Mathew ) and destroyed all their books. As stated in these original gospels by ancient Roman historians who recorded some information and quotes as well as most of our current truthful gospels, Mark James Peter, Revelation letters of Paul Jesus was born a normal man and Joseph was indeed his biological father and declared the Son of God at His Baptism. The false Isaiah prophecy added in our corrupted gospels of the virgin birth is a mistranslation and complete lie. if people care to read the full chapters of that story in Isaiah they will see that Isaiah was talking about his young Jewish wife who was pregnant with a sign child to King Ahaz around 700 BC and as the original Dead Sea Scrolls now state the wording used was '' a young woman '' not a virgin, so please tell me who interviewed Joseph and Mary ?
@rockfoxdesigns
@rockfoxdesigns Жыл бұрын
While your argument may seem to you to be convincing, it is full of issues and shows a lack of understanding of scripture. First, who interviewed Joseph and Mary. John 19:26 clears that up as the apostles knew Mary who was married to Joseph, they only needed to talk to Mary. Next your claim about the writings of the Nazorenes and Ebionites. It would take a lot of studying to wade through (and find) all of the research on this subject but I'm afraid you've been hoodwinked on this subject. From the little bit of looking up I've done the groups seem to fall in line with the false doctrines that the book of Galatians adresses and are therefore not trustworthy, also it seems that there is more evidence that shows that our book of Matthew is the original. But this is really not something I can argue, as I'm not a scolar in this subject, for there is more convincing proof within scripture about the virgin birth. The virgin birth is eluded to as far back as Genesis 3:15. You've already mentioned the account in Isaiah; however, the word can be translated either virgin or young woman, but Matthew makes this clear in his text that it means virgin. Furthermore, there is the bigger issue that the Messiah could not be of the seed of Adam or from the male, hence Genesis 3:15. This is because scripture teaches that through the man, Adam, all have sinned but through the woman's seed we will be redeemed. Also on that note, you make it out that we believe God had intercorse with Mary, this is not at all what we believe. The same God that made everything out of nothing can surely form The Son of God in a womb without such actions. This is drastically different than the paganism of the Babylonians. I also will take a moment to say I do not believe Jesus, the Son of God, was created but existed eternally and he humbled himself by becoming a man for our sake but is still fully God. On a personal note, you clearly do not know the scripture if you believed this false teaching. I urge you like John the Baptist urged the Jews to repent and turn from sin. Read the Bible in its context and accept Christ as your Lord. I will pray that God opens your eyes to this false teaching.

You know, if you left the wood on, sealed and painted, they would be nice floating jig heads. You’d have to experiment with different wood densities but you get my drift. Also, if you used a long dowel, cut a slot down the whole length to fit the hook like you did, then before cutting off each head, round and shape it on the full length dowel. Then cut off the one, shape the next and so on. Thank you for the work, and offering it to us. Regards from ON, Canada eh?!

You could buy lures that are made out of that highly elastic plastic, like z-Man or Niko baits. You could also try tying line between the weight and threading it through to the hook, may make it last longer. I'll experiment with it some and make a video if I can get it to work better.
