Man the sound of this thing is WILD! I hate the look (pure tasty thing of course) though but the versatality and adaption to different sounds is amazing!! Borrow it to a thousand and more recordings and you get your cahs back #investment 😉

So would this even be worth the $5-6,000 dollars you've probably paid for it?
@thebassnerds
@thebassnerds 9 күн бұрын
@@Crodon for me, it is worth it. It plays the same 12 notes you'll find on a squire. And truthfully, most listeners (non bass players) can't tell the difference between a p bass and a j bass but I wanted something specific and unique. As far as custom basses go, I'd say Serek is right in the middle in terms of cost but as high in craftsmanship with the best. If I wanted a short scale custom shop fender with a relic sparkle finish, it definitely would have been a couple thousand more. Going with other smaller builders like Fodera, MTD, Smith, etc would have been thousands more (all worth it in my opinion). Also, higher end instruments hold their value and often go up in value. In fact, I ordered this bass before a price increase and would like pay $500+ more if I ordered today. For some, $5k+ for an instrument is insane and I understand their thoughts but for me, I am a bass nerd. I have no issue with the costs associated with a custom handmade instrument. Some people collect watches, or cars, or Pokémon cards. I want the nicest basses in the world and that is going to cost me.

@@thebassnerds it looks and sound fantastic, it's great they are people in the world who makes those things happened. I got recently a MW2 with the dual single, it's a fun thing to play (gosh I got to learn from your chops!). Great demo!

..... And, this last minute : - That Audiotree version of Quartered is simply beautiful (Sinia too, cranked as loud as my hifi amp and old 90's KEF floor-standers will tolerate), and, that very brief glimpse of that .125 getting hammered hard open is sublime..... You can feel that air getting shifted even through your computer monitor!. Just Subbed - Great Interview.

Brian Cook = Owner Of Probably The Most Badass/Meaty/Face-Melting Bass Tone/Sound In Rock Music..... Like Dug Pinnicks sound? : - But, on a bucketful of low-frequency steriods. R.C are awesome, every album, and - only get better year by year. Cheers Guys, A fellow "knuckle-dragging" 4-Stringer-Slinger (?!) - Northern England..... Still gutted I missed the Band On The Wall R.C gig last year!!. **And Dudes** : - Absolutely on the shopping cart (or trolley as us backwards Brits call 'em) theory = If you dont return them here, you'll lose a £1 coin needed to unchain it..... Though to me irrellevant : if they were "free range" and you still don't return them - You Should Be Shot In The Face. A tad harsh maybe?, but, *super-pleb* behaviour in not taking it back to it's "garage"....??!!.
