Probably for wider fov and sight acquisition. I catch myself doing it sometimes. The gun can obscure part of your vision and iron sights obstruct a lot as well. Is it competitive? No, but it's what a lot of people are comfortable with.

Now kind sir, please educate yourself about the origins and japanese inspiration of the show before saying it’s not an anime after the writers made it after an anime. I’m calling it anime because it has more depth than any other nickelodeon “cartoon” so i think it’s disrespectful to not call it an anime and call it a cartoon, calling it a cartoon lumps it in with the rest of the “cartoon” characters like timmy turner, jimmy neutron, danny phantom. When we all know aangs show was better than all of them, so I believe it deserves more respect than to call it a cartoon💯
