That's so weird: I have 5000 songs on shuffle on my mp3 player and this one just played while I was working. I came inside, shut it off (with same song still going), then turned on the PC, clicked this video randomly, and the same song is playing here too. ;) I once sold Leo Houlding what were probably literally the very last two brand new MSR Titanium bottles left on earth. Had been sitting on a store shelf for a decade at least, unsold, so I grabbed them. ;)

What an extraordinary family adventure using your elite climber skills for the whole family to experience something absolutely unique and fantastic ! I used to be a reasonably competent trad climber but I never had the range of skills and confidence to do try to do something so awsome for the family. The kids will benefit and never forget . Superb parenting and superb video. How did you go down?

Hopefully these are better made than the Pole and Ice Cap rubbish. The 2008 reissues were good though.

Seen them first hand,not bad,but not as good as the originals,is anything these days? Plus £400 notes is a bit steep I think personally for what it is,£300-350 max would be a fairer reflection.

Bang Gallaghers name next to it and then ya get all the sad acts,putting the trango’s on eBay for £500 - £600 notes,the guy is like cow pats in a field,stone island pats,adidas pats,Burberry pats,etc,etc,never see him in pretty green though 😂 last time these were re-issued you could get them in the sales,they even ended up in Tkmaxx for £89 but because it’s you know who modelling them…all the oasis sycophants gotta have one…whoppers if you pay that and deserve to be mugged off by the greedy extorters 👍 come on Berghaus have a word with yourselves 🤨

I must say, the high quality of this short grasped me immediately. I remember when I was younger my parents and I were going to Switzerland, and before we left we all went to get new jackets. We chose Berghaus, same jacket 4 different colours and they did not disappoint! Very good quality. Need to get a new one soon!

They were massive in the North East as well, only thing that kept you dry drinking cider and smoking tac! The factory was in Sunderland. Funny because Barbour jackets are from Newcastle, we cope with wet weather well in the North!

Growing up, almost every holiday away, my family climbed a Welsh mountain together. It was taxing and we would moan out of sheer exhaustion, but it was also fun. We would just all go quiet at the top, taking in all our surroundings; it was heaven. I swear that’s where I got my confidence from later on, the never ending outlook that I could achieve anything once I put my mind to it.

Our type of family holiday 👏 loved everything about this...the climbing, the location, the filmmaking. Can't wait to take our 2 up big walls soon! Leo - I've been following and inspired by your climbing career for nearly 15 years and as parents and climbers, you're an inspiration.

Nearly 50 and I have just got a red one in excellent condition and I am from up north ha, first spied these in Ellis Brigham Chester early 90's. Parents couldn't afford one for me so I ended up with a Lowe Alpine as a trade off. Loved my Lowe coat, seen some action back in the day ha ha

When I was little Sir Chris visited my secondary school (fundraising) before an expedition to Everest. Very few people had been there at that time. Last year I was able to 'visit' the summits of Everest AND K2 courtesy of a brave climber and his GoPro. That only enhanced my fascination with mountaineering!

Very good to hear CB talking, but the film is really spoiled by the direction - very rapid changes between scenes, fast zooming in and out and the jangly (irritating) 'music'. This short film could have been so much better.
@gbwildlifeuk826910 ай бұрын
Most of the film is decades old and there is no direction to speak of. Its clips from various films and locations just strung together. The rapid scene changes are how it was then, there were no transitions to speak of like we now see on digital videos. Likewise the zooming. Its old grainy film probably converted for digital upload, losing further quality. You can hardly make some of it out! "So much better" is wishful thinking.
